Terrible service everybody has an attitude and you know once you meet the manager she is the worst, the people in the restaurant are rude and the all staff is unfriendly. we try to fix a problem with she (The Manager) and she was the worst!!!!
old rooms, AC not working properly. Very small room. Staff was helpful but the building needs a lot of work. Nice neighborhood, better Hotel options around for 80 euros a night!!!! Avoid until hotel is updated!!!
If you are traveling on business, do not count on continuous access to wifi or a very strong speed. Stayed on the 5th floor and the 2nd floor - 5th was nice, 2nd smelt like burnt metal. But staff was quick about shutting down the noise from 4 rooms blasting music and running through the hallways once I called down
Well located hotel with usual Ibis amenities. Meals, particularly breakfast nee to be improved cause service and goods are far from expected, for example there is always missing fruit salad. Overall there is the idea that hotel try to get maximum profits and that is not Ibis policy
The school near by is very noisy, I had been subject to be stolen using the tram station nearby; while the hotel the staff gave wrong direction how to use public transport to go to Alesia metro. they advise to use the bus infront of the bus, in fact this bus take you outsie Paris
As a start, the room was not what I booked: I booked a room with two single beds, I received one with a double bed. When I checked with the reception, they claimed the hotel is fully booked and when I countered with my reservation that clearly showed two single beds, a free room suddenly was free. Also I wasn't recognized as an Accor member and the reception felt no too pleased when I mentioned it. The floor lobbies are extremely dirty, the carpets are showing the dirt. The room is as expected, the bathroom is unclean (bathtub visibly not cleaned) and the flush doesn't work properly. For the same price range you can easily get smth cleaner in Paris.
This was a short stay between arriving on the last Eurostar train of the day and leaving early next morning on a train from Montparnasse. Arriving from Gare du Nord was easy, getting off the metro at Alesia - much easier than Montparnasse Bienvenue with its long walk and many steps. Montparnasse station next morning was too far to walk for me with luggage, so the hotel arranged a taxi which only cost €11, so location for me proved good. Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was typical Ibis, so as expected. Only thing to spoil the stay was the cleanliness of the bathroom. There was a large area of mould around the corner of the bath and so I didn't feel safe to use the shower.
This was a weekend break and the hotel provided the basics. Room a little on the small size. The TV volume pre-set to a really low setting which made it very difficult to hear. Otherwise clean and tidy.
It was for sure the worst experience I've ever had with the ibis hotels. To get it started, my reservation was for a standard bedroom with two single beds. When I got to the reception for the check-in I reminded them about the room type. They confirmed it was for sure a room with 2 beds. However, when I got to the room it was a double bed. I complained at the reception and they gave me a different room, which was a double bed as well. Then the receptionist started a quest for a suitable room by opening and checking each room. When they finally found the room, after a long waiting time, we were so tired that we didn't verify the quality of the room. When we were already settled and ready for a bath, we verified that the bathroom was not ok. The ceiling paint was peeling and the flush was not working properly. Since we were too tired, we overlooked the problems and decided to request a new room the morning after. They finally moved us to a new room, which was not really as good as we hoped for. This hotel is a way below the average Ibis quality we are used to. We regret staying in that hotel, not only because of the quality of the dependencies, but also the lack of cordiality of the staff. Since our arrival, we've being mistreated. I had so much better welcoming in other Ibis hotels. I was shocked with the lack of cordiality.
Was to spend a couple of days in Paris with my sister. Sadly she fell ill two days before so I wished to cancel. OK so room was non-refundable, but why make me pay for breakfasts when not there. Disgusted.
Good area. Not touristy but many cafés, restaurants and small supermarkets in the Alésia area. The hotel has a large lobby area with restaurant and bar and reception desk and three lifts so all is well when you arrive but the disappointment quickly sets in when you get upstairs! It's an old Ibis. Before the introduction of those pre-moulded pre fabricated bathrooms! So it's old, small rooms, no tea or coffee in the rooms (a real let down for Brits!) and in my room, a mysterious chair taking up the only free space but with no desk or surface to use it with. Very odd and a bit annoying! There's a TV that has the BBC world service. No in room safes or drawers - just the usual throw together shelves and tiny hanging bars. The hangers were so cheap that two broke as soon as I put a jacket on them! The staff are pleasant, the electronic keys need frequent re-programming. The restaurant does breakfast from 06.30 and it's not bad. Cheese, fruit, coffee, tea, juice etc. Salty processed ham, nice pancakes - you can boil an egg if you want. If you need to leave early you can get an early bird coffee and croissant in the bar. Nice touch. The restaurant is so frustrating. The food is tasty and beautifully presented. I had a great steak frites there. But they do not have enough staff and the second time I ate there the service was appalling. My friends and I waited well over an hour for a simple main course and other clients were complaining all around us. They gave us a free starter to apologise but I'd rather have had the service and paid. So, to sum up, it's an Ibis. I have stayed in better. Nice staff but working against the old building. In December 2015, some renovation was being done which meant drilling, hammering and banging during the day. As a member of Accor, I paid 81 euros for b&b - it's normally a bit more with no breakfast included. It's not terrible but you can do better! They have storage facilities in electronic lockers. If you have a regular sized suitcase it will cost €3 - for a large locker it's 4.50.
We had only three days to enjoy ours last days of a big travel so stay in a place very close to subway and bus stops was very cool. We could do everything we proposed . And a good breakfast we could enjoy too !!!
The property needs some renovation and upgrading; well located in the 14th, near Alesia Blvd but falls below the Bastille Ibis (where we stayed a couple of times before) when facilities are considered. Also the restaurant area could be better kept cleaner. Friendly and helpful staff.
This hotel has a good localization near train station and good restaurants, the people there are friendly and helpful. I don't recommend to eat at bar because this service are poor. The price is good and sometimes you have discount at rate, you need pay attention on web site.
The bed is comfortable. It is near the metro station and convenient access to the city. Quiet and safe place to stay. The bathroom in my room was a bit worn out especially the ceiling. There are ants in the room so do not put sweet stuff on the table.
Booked interconnecting rooms as travelling with young children. Rooms are small and basic but clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent. Good location as 5 mins walk to metro station safe to walk around in the evening. Corridors were a bit shabby and could do with decorating but that was the only negative. Value for money I would stay here again.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights from 29th June until 8th July. The hotel cost (with Le Club Accorhotel points) was 752.75€. On arrival we were offered a welcome drink. The "drink" was either a juice, a coffee or a small beer and was for one person only! I must pay for my wife's drink. I would calculate that the cost of the "drink" would be about 3€. To me this offer is an insult. It would be better that the IBIS Hotel Group dropped this affront altogether.
Excellent service and great location! We came for a weekend in Paris and were very surprised of the level of service for an Ibis. Good breakfast and the location is very pleasent, a few minutes walk from many transports.
We consider our experience very pleasant: all the staff were very friendly and kind and the bed was really comfortable!!! The hotel is near the Alesia metro, facilitating the ride around the city. we recommend it!!
we have forgot something after checked out the room. I have called more than 6 times and written more than 4 emails to the hotel, to ask if somebody found it. But, I got no single answer from the hotel. Everytime the people answer the phone has no idea what happened, I have to repeat everytime. Finally there was a manager who seemed taking the responsibility. He promised me to look for it and give me an answer, but he never gave me an answer. instead I have to phone again and again. unfortunately, till today I still have no answer from the hotel and no body reply to me in 4 days. it is unbelievable that such well-known chain hotel cares nothing about their guest, and do not follow their promise!
