Although in an awkward location, the hotel is very comfortable and staff very attentive and polite. The room was excellent although not the biggest in the block. The bathroom also excellent and spotless. Breakfast good and dinner acceptable. This hotel is what IBIS should represent although it's entry point is next to a concrete yard and not vary convenient.
We only stayed one night on our motorbikes, great little hotel, close to the supermarket and restaurants and easy access to the main roads. 5 min drive from Saint Lo. Staff were very friendly and helpful, would happily stay there again.
Everything was ok regarding reception, room and breakfast. The hotel is well located if you come to St LO for horse ridding for example. In addition, it is very quiet so for one or two nights, don't hesitate.
The stuff didn't speak English at all! No English, that is all they could say to me. The hotel is over 40 minutes by walk from the city, but they could not call a taxi. For breakfast you could have just a rotten fruit and some bread with tea.
This Ibis is located in the industrial zone attached to St Lo. Not walking distance from city center. Hotel has been fully renovated recently. Rooms are quiet. Good wifi connection Very diligent service from IBIS local team.
Excellent hotel and it is centrally located for visiting the D-Day ceremonies. The breakfasts were very good as well. We ate at the restaurant and were pleased with the meals. There were a couple of strange things, typical for France. There were no hand towels or facecloths, just 2 large bath towels. The walk-in shower was nice with only a step-up and step-down.
Good location. Easy to find. Rooms are a little small. Staff friendly. Did not try the restaurant as we are veggies, but that is common in France. Lots of local supermarkets to buy food and drink, so no problem.
We stayed here (for 2 nights) during the D-Day memorial days. It's a nice hotel with friendly staff and nice rooms. The rooms have recently been renovated. They have really comfortable beds, enough storage space for a few nights and a small but excellent bathroom (shower, sink and toilet, all new). The only downside we experienced was the lack of airconditioning. On our second night it was really hot outside so we had some trouble falling asleep. We slept only a few hours that night because at 4AM-ish a thunderstorm broke loose right above us, but that ofcourse is not the hotel's fault :-) I recommend this hotel for couples, families and people travelling alone. I assume this hotel is mainly used for business stays as it's located on an industrial terrain, but that didn't bother us (you had a lot of shops in a 5min. drive radius).
We have used the Ibis at St Lo for many a year, we have tried a few other places but the Ibis fits our needs & pockets well. We stay there as part of a cycle racing group, the Ibis team help us very well & are not sniffy about a load of bikes being unloaded from various cars, they make room in the conference room for an assortment of race kit. The only downside is getting down for breakfast after the Royal Navy have left, maybe because of government cuts at home we think there is still a bit of Drake running through raiding party. A few extra towels would be nice as well, but then we knew where we going so brought our own.
Newish, clean and bright hotel perfect for a stop over on the way to or from Cherbourg on outskirts of St Lo. Car park. Will stay again. Friendly staff and a well laid out IBIS breakfast. Did not use the restuarant for dinner. Some basic English spoken if needed. Hotel is sited on an industrial estate and there is a cement works behind whichjstarts work at around 7am but cannot hear it if windows are closed.
