I enjoyed staying at the hotel and the service, location, rooms and general atmosphere of the hotel, also the ease to reach it. I would stay there again come the opportunity it is nice to recommend a hotel once you enjoy it
From check-in to check-out we had a lovely stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, private parking at a decent cost was possible in the underground garage, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is not far from Old Town. We would definitely stay here again and we recommend it to other travelers.
It all began when a fellow traveler took up 2 spaces in the hotel's very small parking garage. It was the very last space. The front desk staff could have cared less about it. I asked the young lady assisting me, although she was nice, she couldn't tell me where we could park. She said she was from Munich and didn't know the area. The other woman was disgruntled, but was at least able to tell us the closest Parking Garage, although couldn't tell us how much it was (not even a ballpark estimate). The garage was just around the corner, but poorly lit and desolate. No visible signage on the cost. But, we had no choice. Our room was very small but fine. It was clean but nothing special whatsoever about this hotel. We paid 11.00 euro a piece for a lame breakfast. Eggs were terribly overcooked and the selection was poor. I would not stay here again. I've stayed at many Ibis Hotels and this is up there as one of the worst.
This hotel is a great location if you have a car. You have to pay for parking, but it is in a parking garage and the price is reasonable. The walk into the center of the old city is about 1 kilometer, but an easy walk. Staff was helpful and polite. We had to do laundry, so gave it to them and we got it delivered to our room the next day.
Very good localization and breakfast service, but at the room, nasty window curtains and glasses and also a very dirty carpet floor (specially under the bed), all completely covered by dust crumbles. The rooms are not supplied by face towels, only bath towels are available, what in my opinion is unacceptable by a self labeled "4 stars" hotel. Actually this hotel must to be categorised as only 2 stars hotel, due the very basic supplements available in their rooms.
Not worth of the high cost. I stayed for 6 nights and i am charged on an average of 90 euros per night (excluding breakfast) which is too high considering it is 2 star hotel. I would not prefer to opt this hotel in future for the reason of costs. ..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
I have stayed too many times at this hotel and every time I enjoy my stay. It is my first choice any time I visit the City. It combines everything (Money, Cleanliness, Service, Location). Keep up the good work.
Does not seem welcoming if you have to ask for your welcome drink voucher, which I did not do. Bad start. Nonetheless the hotel is an old Ibis. Rate is competitive with reasonable wine selection to get over being "snubbed".
Excellent hotel staff pleasant and w enjoyed our stay. Nuremberg is a lovely city very well restored. After the damage of the Second World War. Friendly places to eat. We vidyed the wat !useun and the Zeppelin Fields.
spent 2 nights , im really satisfied as usuall at Ibis Hotels ! my personal favourite is the breakfast, lots of quality things to choose in a very frendly price! We tried the late dinner also ,and i left the restaurant with a big smile on my face:) Thank You!
Good location just outside the city walls with great transport connections to tram and metro. Friendly and efficient staff. Clean, simple rooms with comfortable bed. Overall, incredible value for money.
The place itself is quite okay but the WIFI wasn't the best. The food served on the breakfast was just okay but not above average. Location optimal, close to the railway and tube. I would recommend this place for short visits.
I have been visiting this hotel for a number of years over the Christmas/New Year period. I won't be doing it again. No 24/7 service, the restaurant and bar closed 24.12 until 8.1.17.I could have got a beer at reception but I don't like drinking on my own in my room. There were no alternative eateries in the areaThe breakfasts were very good and all members of staff were tip top.
It is typical Ibis hotel and just near to the old city wall.It is very easy to access the historical places.Personel of the hotel is very friendly. Parking place is very comfortable . However, the corridor between the elevator and rooms smells moisture or similar thing.
Small room and bathroom yet very functional, with enough space/ shelves to unpack luggage. Spotless cleaning, daily towels changing, excellent mattress and pillows. Excellent breakfast (warm and cold items ) including fresh waffles cooked by ourselves. Excellent staff. Highly recommended during Christmas Market when the prices are ''unfriendly'' at hotels in Altstadt
Nice, clean, basic hotel without major expectations. A place to sleep, take a shower and visit the city. The hotel is right outside of the city wall, steps away from the old downtown. We were able to walk back and forth without major incidents.
Ibis Nuernberg is very close to the city center (10 mins walking). The parking is not free (8.5 euros) but it is good to have a private parking in a big city. The room was clean and the staff was friendly (as usual at Ibis). Th wi-fi works good. The hotel is a good choice, I would totally recommend it.
The Ibis Nuernberg City an Plaerrer is conveniently situated on the opposite side of the inner ring road from the old city walls A short walk across the junction and you are in the heart of the old city with access to Restaurants, shops, bars and clubs. The hotel is perfect for a short city break or a longer holiday.
It's a hotel with clean and decent facilities however we had to leave our window open for the cool air to circulate which isn't a problem; the problem is our room window was facing Zufuhrstraße which I take is partly a residential area and there were fights down below during late nights/early mornings which disrupted our sleep. Parking facilities was also decent.
Good value for the rate. Courteous helpful staff. Comfortable, compact room with adequate facilities and degree of comfort and quietness. No complaints. Travel tip: If travelling by train and handling heavy baggage, take the S-Bahn from Nuremberg Hbf to Steinbühler Straße then a tram from outside towards Plärrer - it's only a couple of stops.
