Our room was right next to a night club which didn't open until around 11 or 12 and the music kept us awake all night. I don't think the hotel was full and so I'm surprised we were allocated a room that was so noisy

The hotel has a very central location and it was very good they have reserved drop-off area sufficient for 3 cars in front of the hotel. The hotel parking at the rear is very tiny and unless drivers are disciplined and respect the designated spaces it can be really tricky to park - which was my case. The hotel has only one lift which was very awkward at busy times and this combined with the poor car parking facility are the key reason for the average rating.... The room was spacious and as it was facing the rear it was very quiet. This was our first visit to Limoges and we were disappointed to find the city looking rather run-down with lots of cheap fast-food restaurants and a limited supply of attractive restaurants.

All of the staff (reception, breakfast and room cleaning) were exceptionally friendly and competent in helping us have a great holiday. I found the hotel peaceful and noise was not a problem. The only criticism I would have is that the one lift was rather small for the size of hotel. Also use Google Streetview in advance to find the dedicated hotel secure car park (if you are using it) as it is a bit tricky to find - also park slowly - the spaces are tight ! We found Limoges an interesting tourist destination with quite a lot to visit. I especially liked the modern trolley buses! There were some great restaurants near the hotel and I would highlight - Les Relais D'Alsace and Le Bistro Gourmand. There are good day trips to be had - we enjoyed a trip to Bergerac and another one to Aubussons. Reception has city maps. There excellent shops, several museums, an ancient cathederal and old churches to visit - as well as many cafes and restaurants.

The location is great, and the beds very comfortable. The standards of cleanliness were very good, and the staff were very helpful. My only word of caution is to those driving an English or other right hand drive car, and parking in the hotel car park. The car park is very small and the spaces are tight. Unfortunately, the only space available to me to park was the first space on the left beside the automatic gate. This requires driving into the carpark at a very acute angle and the cage protecting the gate mechanism (about 18" high) is invisible to you in a right hand drive car. it also has a sharp metal edge and is not covered in anything to blunt or soften it. So, in entering the space, I badly scratched my car on the passenger side on this unseen and unseeable sharp obstacle. Ibis's insurers accept no responsibility for this, so this is an extra unfortunate cost I must pay. It means I would never return to this hotel as I feel they could do much more to either warn right hand drivers, or make the mechanism protection cage safer and less sharp.

The hotel is situated next to a night club that starts at 1am until 6am and the noise is terrible. We were the opposite side of the building and heard it ALL NIGHT LONG, A place to be avoided until Accor can have all rooms completely sounded proofed or the night club closed down, No air conditioning as it had been turned off for winter even though it was 27 degrees !!?? The manager did make an allowance for the problems , but a sleepless night whilst touring around is not welcome,

Very welcoming staff, good size room - were given an upgrade on arrival with a few goodies in the room. Staff excellent - and very helpful when it came to changing reservations in other Ibis hotels, breakfast excellent but no evening restaurant service. Bar snacks were available and there were plenty of good bistros etc in walking distance. Good secure hotel car park - but you do need to book it in advance. Would use this hotel again

The hotel is in a good location- only 5 minutes walk to city centre. The staff were helpful and answered my queries in a friendly manner. The receptionist ensured that the taxi I requested, arrived by calling them a second time without my asking. The room was very clean and modern and the bed comfortable.

We stayed here for 4 days. The hotel is in an old building so it doesn't have that cramped look as many of the modern Ibis hotels. However we had to wait nearly 2 hours to get our room on a cold Sunday morning. We arrived at 11.30 and usually if the room is ready in an Ibis we have been able to check -in. The hotel was empty except for 1 of the nights.. Our room was ok but was at the back of the hotel with a tiny slit of light between buildings. The rooms at the front were used when a coach party stayed for one night, we didn't understand why we were allocated such a dark room for 4 nights. We have just stayed in an Ibis in Poland which was very busy and we were given a choice of rooms. The staff were pleasant (my husband is a French speaker) but I can never understand why some Ibis hotels run out of breakfast items i.e. pancakes, unless you go at 7am. There were plenty on the shelves in Monoprix!!!

A good quality city centre hotel. The rooms are very small but clean and tidy and fit in everything you need, this is just a problem associated with converting old city buildings. For the same reason the lift would be a tight squeeze with a decent sized bag. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is the only extra paid (10euros). The biggest disappointment was Limoges itself which seems to have more empty buildings than used ones.

We like to visit different towns in France when travelling up from Spain. Our journey had be both difficult and tiring, we were due to arrive in Limoges at 3 pm and did not get there until passed eight. This was due to heavy weekend traffic. So, we were tired and ready to just drop our bags and find somewhere to eat. The reception staff were excellent, parking our car had been difficult , which we explained the receptionist gave good directions to a safe car park. He was helpful ,with a broad smile making us feel very welcome. The rooms were adequate and met our needs. The hotel had provided a second bedroom for our teenage daughter and had the foresight to ensure that the rooms were adjoining. Both rooms were clean. The view was great over the rooftops of Limoges. Breakfast was up to the standard we expect in Accor hotels. Because we were tired we did not venture far. We turned left out of the hotel into a lovely little square with restaurants, where we had an excellent meal, washed down with a bottle of Cahors red. The following morning was Sunday and we did not have time to visit the cathedral. However, we did have a small compensation which was to be able to listen to the bells chiming across the city. We will visit again and probably stay at this hotel.

A superb hotel in a great location the staff were very helpful, this was a stopover on our way from Calais to southern Spain, the rooms were very comfortable and the hotel was in the center of town surrounded by many bars and restaurants , All in all a very enjoyable stay, would stay again and would like to spend more time in town.

stayed here on an overnight stay on our way up from the south of france, what a great choice it was, great room and the 10 euros for secure parking for our soft top car was great. WELL DONE TO ALL AT LEMOGES

The only problem was that there was no parking, and the idiot owners of the underground carpark had big neon signs saying OPEN, and until one drove in to the access tunnel, one couldn't see the barrier, with a notice "Closed for repair, use entry other side of square." Backing out on to busy main road was not easy, but that wasn't the hotel's fault.
