This hotel never fails us, polite staff, good rooms, parking, nice building and a good meal in the restaurant if required. Not the cheapest for a glass of wine but many local alternatives albeit the majority were closed as it was holiday time. Tres Francais.
We have been to this hotel so many times the danger is you start to look for things to improve. You notice minor detail like poor paint work on doors but this is unfair. The general atmosphere, attitude and performance are very good. Hard to fault. The restaurant albeit slightly pricey ,particularly the wines is of good quality
This has always been one of first choices. I do feel obliged to review but perhaps Accor should restrict invitations to do so to once a year. Room was big enough, nice large balcony and as always friendly staff' Welcome drink for members etc all organised. We did have a quick meal in the hotel the recipe used for the snail butter had MUCH improved but a sweet brioche bun not mentioned in the menu around a good burger was a no no for me, my wife was wise with her lamb shank.
Pleasant hotel with friendly helpful staff. Located in centre of small picturesque canal filled town. I have used this hotel for business nad pleasure and will continue to do so. May recommend a room at the rear althoughthe front rooms are not noisy but if you like a window open in the evening, the rear would be a better choice.
A frequent visitor to this former Post building, we had not been for longer than usual. Much has changed and brought with it the corporate Accor image. We spent several minutes working out where we had seen the different designs in other IBIS hotels. The new bar /foyer is roomier and less sterile. It will not work for all, those who know the building of old will miss the old touches of years gone bye. It struck me as odd to have a bar when you have another one next door in the Brasserie? Small changes in the bedrooms with larger TVs are mixed blessing, those who want to plug in there own USB or HDMI will struggle, but that being picky. The rooms are very good and this is one of the best under this brand.
This is a well priced hotel that we have used a few times. The rooms are fairly basic (no coffee making facilities in the room) but it is very well located in Montargis. There are some lovely restaurants including an Italian just across the road and some great shopping. we will stay there again.
Excellent location, excellent restaurant in the hotel, good food and good service. Recommended for a couple of days stay to visit the town, or for business travel. Room rate somewhat on the expensive side, though.
The staff were very attentive. The location was ideal for me. I would certainly recommend this to my colleagues. The room was very spacious with a balcony. The village was extremely quite. The breakfast as very good.
We use this hotel about 6 times a year. Our stay on 1st Jan was perhaps an own goal, nearly everywhere was closed and the temporary staff seemed a bit in awe of having guests. Our recent stay showed another turn round in reception staff and training is needed. We had to try 4 times to enter the car park, half open then closed. Arriving at about 3pm the receptionist came out with a mouth full of food, no offer of a complimentary card holder refreshment,.just a here is your entrance card. It didn't work, when my wife returned, reception decided to bring her lunch out with her !!! Great service used to be one of the strengths of the hotel . The externals are starting to look a little tired and need a refresh, I accept nowhere looks great in January. I hope that things can come back to what was a little oasis.
This hotel is central in Montargis & within walking distance of shops & restaurants. The rooms are spacious & light with very comfortable beds. Breakfast is continental with a very good selection. We stayed here on our way back from the South of France & will definitely book again if we travel there next year.
We must have visited this hotel 20 times, it has never failed us, the staff are welcoming and always prepared to go that extra meter .The rooms in general are large for IBIS and WiFi works well throughout. This place is a gem.
Stayed overnight on a trip returning from skiing in Switzerland - very comfortable & convenient hotel. Restaurant particularly good. Hotel clean & quiet, staff helpful & friendly. Very useful having on-site parking in the centre of a town.
We thought this hotel was quite good value for money. It provided a good basic stop over hotel in our journey through France. Breakfast was varied and provided a a good selection of choices. Difficulties over internet booking were solved amicably.
Stayed at this hotel many times as it is in a great location. Within walking distance to some good restaurants. Staff are always friendly and obliging. There is also the advantage of underground parking although it is a bit of a squeeze to get car in! But well worth 6 euros for secure parking. We arrived during the afternoon but unfortunately our room had not been cleaned and we were given another room. It was to our advantage because the room was very big with a sofa, coffee table and a balcony overlooking the roof tops which was fab.
The hotel corresponds to Ibis standards, with standard room decor, good matrasses, clean bathroom, friendly staff. Breakfast was even nicer than usual. It is centrally located with underground parking available at reasonable price. It is close to highway (3min).
