Good staff welcome, good service and rooms as always excellent. Have used Ibis for many years both for business and pleasure and I must say the standard has improved even though it was good many years ago. An added advantage is that pets are allowed.

Everything looks old in this hotel .... small room, old paint on the walls, condensation on the windows, need renovation. No coffe or tea in the room. The best part is that the hotel have an free parking

After long journey from Spain, stopped at the Ibis Bordeaux Pessac for the night, check-in was painless and quick - room was comfortable and clean, when we found a small problem with a sink the reception sorted in out in less than 5 mins. Despite being ideally sited just off the Ring road the hotel is quiet, and the food at dinner was great, maybe a little pricey but you couldn't fault the quality or service - will definitely stay again (this was our 4th or 5th stay in the Ibis Pessac) we've tried a few others nearby but this one is the best.

Everything as the same as all the other previous visits. Staff friendly and helpful and the room cleaned (as usual). A small "minus sign" for the Air Conditioner within the room: not cooling the air as it would be supposed... It was doing its job, but not sufficiently cooling down room's temperature.

Nice hotel which allows dogs to be with the owners. On our way to our destination in Portugal, we stayed there for the night. Food is a bit expensive and showering in a bath is not comfortable (slipping danger), some of of the personnel is not really customer friendly (restaurant), not many sockets in the room to reload the telephone, tablets, computer, etc. Overall: could be better with some small investments.

It was really nice to have a kettle in the room after driving 400 miles and enjoy a cuppa whilst we unpacked. The room was spotless and the walk in shower was a big improvement from the climb over bath. The bed was absolutely fantastic and gave us the much needed sleep for our onward journey.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the evening meal. Generally, we find that hotel meals are not very interesting and usually straight out of the microwave. The room was fine and the staff very welcoming. Would stay there again, but hope not too because we were there for an early hospital visit, the following day!

First I called the hotel to let them know I was delayed and the gentleman at reception was ever so pleasant, He even offered to let the Chef know I would arrive late. The decor at reception is modern and welcoming, and the entire staff, reception, bar and restaurant were all very pleasant. Breakfast was smooth and offered a suitable array of choices. There were no cues and I thought it a great idea that there were 2 coffee stations as it is often where one has to wait in line. Check out was efficient and pleasant. The only time I was surprised is when I walked to my room as the decor of the corridors and bedrooms is old fashioned and not in line with the lobby and restaurant,

Outside Bordeaux in a quit area are several hotels for business and passing trough on your holiday. we stayed in this because the beds and service of IBIS is by default always good. Perfect beds no noise and very complete breakfast. service of the staff beyond good and location close to the main highway to Paris.

We were travelling to St Malo from Spain and stopped en route in Bordeaux. Ibis was booked from prior hotel in Spain via the internet - simple and secure. Arrived at 7pm and were welcomed at the reception - then decided to eat in the restaurant and it was most satisfactory. Had a good rest, great breakfast and on our way with easy access to the ring road and motorways. I would recommend this hotel.

excellent as always, Ibis is the same all over, helpful, friendly, just what you need when passing through. Dog friendly, lovely beer, never have the breakfast because wee won't to get on the road early, feed the dog and crack on.

All as expected in respect of the hotel. Clean tidy pleasant staff, parking. However the Ibis Kitchen got it wrong this time. Great selection of evening food. Starters & mains good & well served, however 30 minutes after finishing main & drinks we approached the waiter & advised finished & wanted a dessert menu & coffee. Some 15 minutes later we left the restaurant still not having the table cleared nor dessert menu. The restaurant was only moderately busy and staff buzzed all around to others. Unusual for Ibis. So rated accordingly. Still worth a visit or another try from us.

From the moment we arrived life was easy with a 4 month old puppy. He joined us for dinner, the room was ideal for us and his bed and he came to breakfast. Only negative comment could additional pillows be available. Other than that would highly recommend if travelling with animals or want simple cheap accommodation.

Very little to fault plenty to applaud. Has become a regular staging post on our journeys from Algarve to UK. Location, staff , facility. Meals, wifi all v good and we have seen a steady improvement over the past 3 years. It is however fairly expensive in comparison to other locations. Wardrobe space is poor as is provision of only one towel.

The hotel was easy to find from the A63 and very convenient the following morning for the Bordeaux "rocade". Restaurant facilities good, we enjoyed dinner and the waitress service was excellent. Breakfast was good and varied and as we have come to expect in an Ibis hotel.

Used this hotel on the way down to Spain, had booked and paid for return stop. So bad did not use the return booking. Very tired room and could not sit on WC as too close to wall and no room for legs, and I am 5'9". Staff OK but room was rubbish and will not return.

Good service on reception, nice restaurant with friendly staff, wide choice of menu (although limited for vegetarians) and good food. Just as well because not a lot of choice in the immediate area, a commercial estate. Very comfortable bed. Wi fi worked well in room. Bathroom clean if a little tired.

After my original booking for a suite in Bordeaux' city centre was cancelled at the last minute, I was relieved to have found a room at the Ibis in Pessac on such short notice. I am hoping the price of the rather mediocre room (90 EUR/night) reflected the last minute booking. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Travellers without a car will find it frustrating to reach the hotel, as the bus that goes to the tram that goes into Bordeaux stops running shortly before 9pm. Check-in was uncomplicated and the woman at the reception desk was friendly and helpful, showing us where to find bus and tram stops. I had asked for a room with two beds; in reality, the room had two mattresses. My travel companion and I attempted to separate the twin mattresses but were left with only about 20 cm between the two of us. Not what I expected when being assured the room would have two beds. The beds were however comfortable and clean. The bathroom and the room itself are in need of an update; the decor and amenities felt quite dated. If you don't speak French, you will find nothing to watch on TV. My checkout experience is what ultimately caused me to give it a total of 2 stars. I had booked online, giving a credit card number for reservation only, not for payment. I attempted to pay with a visa card, which was declined. I was puzzled by this information, as I had used this same card to book the room, pay for my flight, and taxis to and from the hotel. I then gave her my AmEx; also declined. I asked the woman to run the cards again, because there must be something wrong with their machines. She quickly became very rude to me as I tried to figure out how to pay for my stay, which I ultimately did with a debit card. After calling both credit card companies to ask why my card had been rejected, I was told that the receptionist had not attempted to "swipe" my cards and instead had inserted them into the card reader which required a chip and a PIN, something which the majority of American credit cards do not have. I am unsure whether this woman did not realize she needed to swipe the card or if the hotel does not have the proper technology to do so. In any case, there was no reason the cards should have been rejected, nor was there any reason to be treated so rudely. Needless to say, I will not be staying here again.

Stayed for one night whilst visiting Bordeaux and Arcachon. Bit of a wasteland around hotel and tired from the outside but clean and very friendly inside. Room was fine and slept well.Restaurant not up to much - drinks expensive and food quite poor - a Toulouse sausage (the 'house special') was nothing more than an overblown frankfurter! Came with a greyish ratatouille but no potatoes/fries/chips/rice etc.
