Construction work is limiting the space in the car park opposite the hotel but there is a free car park about a 15 minute walk away on the other side of the river. Otherwise very convenient and comfortable hotel with places to visit within walking distance.
In September and May in France it is just getting hot enough to be too hot in your room. Not a big deal, you can always open your window right? Well, if you like being a meal for the mosquito's or you don't mind the heavy noise from the streets then go right ahead. This hotel is near the highway and right next to a busy street. Furthermore, there is a lot of construction in the area. It's not bad if you gotta wake up at 5am. These are essentially your options when staying here in September or in May. This hotel essentially turns off the AC these months. Sometimes they are cold enough months to not have to open a window, but usually they are not. Good luck getting any of the hotel staff to empathize with you as well, they seriously don't care. I'd stay here again but never in those months, or if it's just unusually hot.
Excellent clean modern hotel. In a great position by the river and the centre if Angers. Easy parking opposite the hotel. It was a very clean and quiet room. We had an extra bed in the room for our daughter and it was comfortable.
Stayed on the 5th floor and room was pleasant, clean and spacious. Hotel personnel were very courteous and friendly. Breakfast buffet was also complete and varied. Would definitely recommend. Thank you very much!
This hotel is situated on the river front, a ten minute walk from the castle. I understand that it has been recently refurbished and has the same generic Ibis look of the chain, so no surprises! Room and bathroom was clean although it did look out on a residential courtyard which was a bit noisy later in the evening. Easy walk to the castle and town centre. One slight downer is the restaurant where we ate in the evening. Although the food was ok, tasty and well presented, the area lacked a bit of atmosphere. Breakfast was quite a different kettle of fish! There was this one woman that kept bringing fresh stuff out of the kitchen and shouting about it. Funny at first but after 5 or 6 times, I was ready to ask her to put a sock in it. Nice to know that there's fresh bread etc and that you can try the latest agave drink but bit much when you're still on your first coffee! Other than that, I would recommend it as a hotel
Although this is a pleasant hotel, one should be aware that there is no hotel parking Yes, there is extensive paring across the street from the hotel WHEn there are no special events in the town. Staff was very helpful during the Pentecost holiday.
Typical Ibis - undergoing some refurbishment while we were there. ideal stopover - parking close by + restaurants, bars and shops. Don't miss the best part of the town which lies uphill from the Ibis. No complaints with hotel. Did not sample the food there though.
This was my second visit to an Ibis but my previous one was to an Ibis Budget Hotel. This one was significantly better in quality and comfort and I would not hesitate to recommend visitors to stay there is all you need is a comfortable night with access to a restaurant serving pretty good quality food.
As non FRENCH speaking tourists we were given good courtesy and patience when seeking information or assistance.....very friendly....much appreciated. Breakfast was good choice but evening meal/menu was limited. As it was close to the centre ville and many restaurants it was not a problem
The Ibis is like a comfort blanket. I like that. Great service from helpful staff and the locations are situated close to local amenities. The only mild gripe I have is the lack of cooked breakfast in France.
Good location for sightseeing , with very reasonable priced outside parking opposite , good clean soundproofed room with an excellernt ensuite shower. The Breakfast & Dinner were very good . All this added up to a great stay.
This is my second visit to the hotel and the service and comfortable beds have not changed. We spent a peaceful night and would recommend the hotel to everybody. Thank you very much. We will use the Ibis group again.
