We stay at this hotel on our return trips South as its a nice distance from Calais. The service was as good as normal, food and service in the restaurant just what you would expect. Its a short walk into the City with all the restaurants 1st then along the old streets by the shops to the cathedral in all its splendor . Well worth a visit
Basically the Ibis Hotel in Rouen Centre Rive Droite was a dump, we elected to not stay there and drove on the Caen. Room was shabby, not clean, desk man was scary as was the area, overall a bad experience, the bright spot was that we were not charged for the night.
This is a more traditional Ibis product, offering terrific value for money in a superb location to explore the city of Rouen and its surroundings. I've stayed here several times over the last few years and it's my first-choice accommodation in Rouen. Clean, friendly and welcoming - and with secure car parking. What's not to like?
The Ibis Rouen was fairly convenient for the town centre, and had parking on site. Like all ibis hotels it gave what was expected. The rooms tend to be too hot - the duvets being unnecessarily heavy and the heating inflexible.
Easy to find. Good car parking, but thought the cost of 7 euros slightly expensive as Ibis Calais charged nothing for our stop there. The room was clean and tidy and bed was very comfortable Wasn't a lot choice for evening meal, but what had was very good. Breakfast was not as extensive choice as Calais, but good. Located a relatively short distance from city centre, but a bit of a struggle with a wheelchair I would stay there again
This hotel does not let you down. Love the lounge / bar and outside seating. Wine priced correctly, as is the clean quiet room with comfy bed and strong shower. Staff are the best ! Location good, especially the Carrefour City just around the corner.
Car park at front of the hotel quite small and tight although I am told there is additional parking at rear. First impressions at reception is that the hotel is old and tired. Check-in not a pleasant experience and staff quite rude. Took lift to third floor and first thing I noticed was an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke. Corridor dark and unwelcoming. The room was small. Needed a complete redecoration. Bathroom tatty and mold at the bottom of the shower screen. Hairs in the shower tray! Smell of cigarette smoke came through bathroom extract fan so kept bathroom door closed all the time. Breakfast was the standard Ibis buffet style, but staff not happy when I asked for the empty meat tray to be replenished. Check-out again not a good experience. When my card did not work was abruptly told "Got another card or cash" Would have been nice to be treated as a customer instead of what seemed to be a nuisance. Sorry would not stay here again.
I always stay at this hotel when travelling to and from the UK. Friendly helpful staff and always willing to put themselves out. Secure parking an only a few minutes walk from Fabrik a great restaurant by the river
Once again we chose to stay at this hotel at Rouen on our return trip. Easy to find good parking. Staff very helpful. Handy short walk into the centre. Had the plate of the day of Duck in the hotel bistro, very tasty.
Within easy walking distance of the cathedral, restaurants and the main shopping area. Excellent staff and good facilities. On site parking. We go back each year for a pre Christmas visit on our way back to the U.K. Very good value for money
This hotel is in a great position to walk into the historic district of the city.staff were very helpful.rooms are always of a good standard . Found some excellent restaurants and bars in the city. The historic buildings the cathedral in particular was stunning.
Helpful staff team welcomed us and we were quickly in our rooms and able to relax. No kettle/coffee maker in the room ( a big oversight in our minds) but staff provided hot water to make our own tea! Being a Saturday the Restaurant was closed in the evening but we found an excellent restaurant on the banks of the Seine only five minutes away. Breakfast was a buffet with a good variety of items to suit all our tastes.
We arrived about 6:00pm and although a bus load was arriving at the same time we had no trouble booking in in fact it was quicker than previous times The room overlooked the back streets and was very quiet, clean and reasonably spacious We did not use the restaurant either for dinner nor for breakfast so cannot comment Checking out the next morning was equally quick and efficient We find the Ibis Rive Droit in Rouen a very convenient stop over and in the past a good base for exploring Rouen We will stay again
While not in a restaurant area (along the river and a busy road) this was close enough to walk to historic / shopping areas. After a late afternoon arrival we walked in the market and historic areas and then, being tired of walking in the rain, we returned to the hotel for dinner. Dinner was good and in the morning we had the typical excellent Ibis buffet breakfast.
Our third stay in the IBIS Rouen Rive Droite and not once disappointed. The rooms are spotless, the new matresses are wonderful, the shower and wc are top quality and the breakfast spread is sumptuous. Add to this secure parking close to the beautiful town centre and we are already looking forward to our next stay.
Staff extremely helpful, breakfast good, bed clean and quite comfortable. However, general standard of room and bathroom disappointing - in need of refurbishment. Towels were extremely thin and poor quality. Had room at back with frequent noisy passers-by late at night disturbing our sleep. In a run down area. Would not stay here again
We stayed her for 3 nights on our way to the south of france. The hotel is ideally located for enjoying Rouen. The town centre is an easy 5 minute walk. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Good value.
The hotel is clean and practical. The room is basic but comfortable. Location of the hotel is near the cathedrals and shopping area. It has convenient out- and indoor parking. Breakfast was fine. Staff is friendly
The hotel is well-located for a visit to Rouen. Like all Ibis hotels the room was very clean but spartan. The people at the Front desk were less friendly and less helpful than at other Ibis Hotels. The hallways were shabby and the elevator had repair issues. Our friends, for whom we booked a non-smoking room were given a room that reeked of smoke. While they were subsequently given a different room, they should not have been subjected to this experience.
Friendly staff. Medium size room, but clean and a good bed. Bath room is Ok but nothing special. Easy to walk to City Center. Normal room-price is a little expensive compared to other hotels. Parking is € 6 per 24/h
