Hotel was clean, quiet, and convenient. No frills, but affordable and had everything you need for a good nights sleep. We did not have the breakfast as there are backers close by. Very close to trains, underground and trams. Walking distance to restaurants. Easy to find.
Well placed for Mariahilf Strasse shopping as well as (long) walking distance to centre of town to Stephanplatz. Easily accessible to both U3 and U6 undergrounds which gets you to everywhere you want to be.
Clean rooms and Good breakfast. 5 mins walk to the Westbahn train station where you can go directly to Salzburg using the west green trains. There is the hop on hop off bus stop next to the hotel as well which is a bonus!
The hotel itself gives what it offers, however they have decided not to heat the whole hotel in the beginning of December. All of us got a good flu after trip, thanks to the 16-18 celsius in the rooms. For 149 EUR/night i think we can expect - at least - some room temperature in winter.
The room was clean and larger than some Ibis rooms we've stayed in. The room, though, was hot, and we couldn't get it cooled so we didn't sleep well. The thermostat on the wall seemed to make no difference. We tried opening the window for a while, but the traffic noise was almost unbearable. It was only a few blocks to the metro station so access to the city center was easy.
Business As Usual - nothing exceptional, it means high level of all services, absolute property in the bathroom, comfortable bed, very competent people. Location very suitable for walking down famous Mariahilferstrasse or to the Schoenbrunn Castle.
The shower had LOTS of mold and mildew growing in the grout and sealant of the doors. The climate control system was ineffective, making the room very hot. The panel of the climate control had a blinking light that kept us up all night. My colleagues had the same experience and we determined that hanging a jacket over it blocked the light most effectively. Both the sink and shower soap dispensers went dry and we had to ask the maid for more both times. Otherwise, it was OK.
I was back at this hotel after one year - the hotel is definitely improved. I had a good room, perfectly insulated from outside noise, and with comfortable bed. The bathroom was good too. Breakfast is excellent, with a lot of choices. Staff are helpful and friendly.
This hotel is great for those who want to visit Vienna. It is also close to an area of shops. I came back here after 10 years, things are changed, but the hotel and staff charm is the same. Staff help you with anything. Breakfast is great, rich and with a wide variety of products. The only negative aspect is that the hotel bar smokes, as in many bars in Vienna.
Stay and breakfast were very good. Very clean, comfortable, spacious, tidy. I recommend it. I loved the breakfast as well. Many lifts. Good reception. We had a place to leave our bags after check out while we touristed around.
Basic hotel but clean and has everything you need. Close to walking street and easy walk to down town or close to Underground if that is what you would prefer. Very comfortable beds and good view from 12th floor where we were.
Very well placed - located in walking distance to Maria Hilfestrasse shopping street & Schonbrun (although there is nothing interesting on the way) A lot of pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, shops nearby Metro station very close Breakfast good quality & diverse Room - travelling with 1 kid & 1 toddler - the room was "sufficient" for a weekend. We had a great 10th floor panorama over half of Vienna Good value for money
Our stay in Vienna lasted only two nights, but it was enough to explore the city's major attractions and feel its climate. Hotel Ibis Wien Mariahilf was our safe harbour where we could refresh after long and interesting trips. Professional service, modern interior, cozy rooms perfectly complemented our stay.
Exceptional nice and helpful desk staff. Maid service perfect. Rooms very practical layout and good beds. Great location, public transportation at front door. Air conditioning system does not work well, and it's flashing control panel light is annoying.especially at night.
We travel 2 to 3 times a year and since 2012 we have always booked Ibis through Accor In Vienna, Budapest & Bregenz. This time from Sunday 7 to 8 May we would extend our stay by 1 day and paid more than 30% than our son for the same, despite our ACCOR & our son's NOT ACCOR! It's useless !!!!!!!!!!!! Motel 1 is better!
I'm, my wife and granddaughter 11 years old. Everything was fine. The room is clean, linen and towels are without claims. The staff is friendly. The location of the hotel is very good. There are wishes: Too soft pillows, I was very uncomfortable. If in room there was the smallest refrigerator - it would be magnificent. Breakfast is quite expensive. I would like a little cheaper. Rejected. However, that's all small cavils, hotel quite corresponds to the price category. Many thanks.
The hotel is located near the WestBahnhof and because that is a little bit noisy. The rooms are big, modern and clean. The breakfast was excelent! The staff was very kind and helpfull. We had a great time in the hotel!
Good breakfast, great access to city center and main attractions of the city, half an hour distyance to St . Stephan's cathedral and the rest of attractions by using subway U3.5 minutes walk to main train station of western Vienna. 5 minutes walk to Mariahilf street which is a the biggest shopping street in Vienna.
Vienna is very beautiful and elegant. There is something to see at every corner. Fortunately they have a very efficient underground which takes you anywhere in a very short time and it is not expensive unlike anything else. Also all instructions/directions are in German and they seem to lack signposts to the various locations. All in all it was a heavenly week.
This is a very good hotel, with a very good location with good communications. Close to the shopping area at pedestrian distance. The service is good. The staff is very polite. The price is reasonable. Unfortunately, it is too noisy. The traffic does not stop all night.
