We stayed here for one night en route further North. A lovely Ibis within walking distance of the marina and the town centre, and only 10 minutes drive to Honfleur. Unfortunately we got caught up in Storm Eleanor and the heavy rain and strong winds prevented us from doing what we wanted to do. We do intend to go back in the Summer. The hotel was clean and well run. We never have breakfasts at Ibis Hotels as we think they are expensive for what we eat. We do, however think this Ibis is greatly overpriced.
The room is very shabby (badly worn sofa and extra couch covers) even renovation is currently being undertaken, the room is well byond standard. What put me off, is that they do not serve alcoholic drinks at the bar after 23.00. This is absolut not acceptable to me. I booked 19 nights including my friends nights and we will all not return. Another guest told me the same thing. So by by Ibis Deauville.
Deauville Ibis Centre is in a good position by rail station, and near restaurants shops and market. The Sandy beaches are about a mile away along a flat promenade. I The restaurant serves good food from 12 noon to to at least one 10.30 pm and it serves a n excellent buffet breakfast until about 10.00am. THE Bedrooms have comfy beds. The staff are always friendly easedto remember you name and pronounce your surname. right
Staff are always welcoming, friendly and polite. This hotel has a great location - easy walking distance to centre of Deauville and across to Trouville. The lobby bar and restaurant have undergone a refurbishment since we last stayed and it is looking fresh and modern with a lovely garden at the back. Will definitely be staying here on my next visit to Deauville
Whenever we visit Deauville we always stay at the IBIS, clean comfortable and easy access to the town, no need to get public transport or use the car. just park in th IBIS undrgroun carpark and enjoy the 5 min; walk to the center of town looking forward to our nexy stay
great location, modest price, nice breakfast for €9,95. also parking under the hotel for 10 euro's a night. Compared with hotels in rest of Deauville and Trouville a good deal. Deauville is a nice city. If you like the sea, horse racing and golf.
This was not our first visit to this hotel and it will not be our last. As noted in the title the location is excellent; whether walking to the races, popping across to Trouville or simply wandering around shops and restaurants - the Ibis is perfectly situated on the quay. The reception, bar and restaurant staff are always friendly and efficient and willing to help with any queries. We ate in the restaurant on this trip and while it is not supposed to be 'fine dining' it was certainly very nice and well cooked. My elderly mother had an accessible room which was large enough for wheelchair manoeuvres and had a great view. We'll be back. A&O
Location of hotel is good and convenience with a free car park for over night .Staff at the counter is helpful and knowledgeable for restaurant. She gave e good recommendation for restaurant. The shower in the bath room is good .
Very good Ibis in the centre of Deauville. We had a superior balcony room overlooking the garden at the rear ( we thought it would be at the front overlooking the marina ) which was very quiet. Excellent !
I'm afraid I found the whole experience deeply disappointing. Although we had what was described as a superior room (and we did have a small balcony) it was really basic. Laminate flooring, no water, no tea-making facilities, no frills at all. Although there were 2 of us only one chair for the balcony and no table, three bath towels between 2 of us - no hand towels. Also although there was a lot of choice at breakfast there was no hot option apart from boiled eggs. I must say not nearly as nice as the Mercure round the corner and no cheaper.
My wife and me spent a very good time in the hotel.. we expect location, cleanliness, and good rooms and we found this. We didnt use all the installations of the hotel. Service and attention employees were nice.
We always thought of this Ibis as a short stay hotel but we have changed our view. Although the room was smaller than ideal it was quiet overlooking the restaurant patio and was kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping team. We also ate in the restaurant many times and that was a nice experience too. The buffet breakfast was extensive and the staff catered for our every need. We will be going back.
This is one of the most expensive Ibis hotels we have stopped in during this trip to France. We have stopped here many times before but not at this price!!! I could not use any of the summer deals they were offering. Location is everything with this one as it is on the quay side. Clean and recently updated in the restaurant and reception areas. Standard rooms are small but with AC.
Although the room was small and the road at the front of the hotel was busy and therefore quite noisy with the window open, it was the perfect location, near to the bus / rail station and centre of town. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and it was very fresh. If you are not too concerned about the room, scratches on the paintwork, etc, but very clean it is the perfect place to stay with friendly staff and lovely comfortable beds
Excellent location. Clean rooms. Good Breakfast choice. Adequate Restaurant menu. Underground Carpark good value. Only one(BBC News) English TV Channel (out of 50) No first Aid in Hotel, One of our group of 20 unfortunately took a tumble, resulting in two broken wrists and concussion. No help available from hotel.
this hotel is a delight- staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.Room was comfortable and situation meant you can walk or just relax and enjoy the views. Only down-side when will IBIS start putting tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms like other chains - to go to bar to get a cup of tea gets very expensive. Listen to customers IBIS please.
I highly recommend this hotel. The location could not be any better and if the hotel cost twice as much it would still be a bargain for the location alone. Located close to everything and perfectly situated between the two towns so you can walk through both with no need for transportation. Clean room, friendly staff, and amazing bed!
While this was once a good hotel, it has gotten run down and shabby. The first room we were given was cold, and the bathroom had a moldy smell. The internet did not work - probably because it was at the far end of the hotel. When I complained, they gave us a different room but did not help move our belongings - I had to do that alone. The new room wasn't much better, and the internet was spotty. We also found the "new" bedding that is so plentiful advertised to be of minimal comfort. For us, this was the last time we'll be staying at this IBIS, period.
Have stayed at this hotel in the past and will continue to do so in the future. excellent value and location, staff very friendly, rooms comfortable, ticks all the boxes. Excellent location, service and value will stay here again
Lovely comfortable bed but barking dogs in adjoining room ruined our sleep and our stay. Though we complained to management, dogs continued barking off and on from 10.15pm to 10.51pm. On site parking for 10 Euro was convenient.
