After a below average stay last week we stayed here post holiday. Arrive at 11pm after a long day travelling, the room was a double not a family room as booked, so hastily room 188 was given to us but housekeeping would have to put the bed out. We had a drink in the bar to allow them to do this, i had to request the drink voucher [as i am a silver le club member]. There was no draught lagers and the red wine was put in a dirty glass then decanted into a cleaner one....We retired around midnight and were met by the smell of [recent?] smoke in the room, a room in dire need of refurbishment, but we were all dead on our feet by now and just got into bed. The child bed was opened but the duvet and pillow were in the storage bags in the wardrobe unit so we had to make the bed up, a job that i feel the hotel should do. Breakfast was good and staff on hand to replenish it. On check out i told reception about the smoke in the room but they said that it was difficult to monitor smoking in the rooms which i appreciate but surely when the room has been prepared for the next guest then the issue would have been spotted and dealt with. A lame excuse in my opinion. The room was booked at a sale price but a lower grade room not mentioned, We usually stay at the Premier Inn over the road as a budget option which is much better in my opinion, i doubt i'll be using this Ibis in the near future.

The hotel is comfortable enough for anyone who is staying a few days in London! It isn't that far from downtown if you use Picadilly line. Once in the train, the ride will last at least 40 minutes. There are transfers connecting the hotel to the airport, but you might as well just take the red buses! You won't be charged if you mention you're staying at the nearby hotels! Breakfast is pretty fine! Some good food options!! The rooms are sort of big and silent!! After all, it is a very good stay for anyone in London for a few days!

Ideal for an overnight stay and with an early check in option if you book directly with the hotel. Super clean and welcoming helpful staff. Restaurant on site with a buffet breakfast and 'pub type' food in the evening. Food and wine prices are very competitive, as was the surprising atmosphere for an airport hotel. The hotel also organise taxi's for you, although it is on the hopper bus route too. Very happy with everything.

Nice and clean place, not many extras but for the low fee, especially compared to the other hotels around, very good value! Affordable price, close to the airport with frequent public buss service (free to the airport). Highly recommended for a short stay!

For those wishing to be close to LHR and also be able to stay somewhere within easy commute of London, we recommend this hotel. Rooms: Clean but small. Suggest rooms 407 to 427 as they also afford a view of the airport. Food: Surprisingly excellent as most people avoid hotel restaurants. Affordable and great serving personnel. Barman deserves a pat on the back as he knows his products well. Free bus to LHR which connects you to the Tube to London or national coaches everywhere else. I still struggle to understand why I had to pay 12 pounds to park at a hotel I'm paying to stay! Is this a common practice? Everywhere else I have stayed (Plymouth, Bath, Manchester - airport etc.) they don't charge. Seems as though it is just another revenue stream.

A christmas card with a loveley message was left with a box of chocolates yesterday when I arrived, really a nice touch and so grateful for that gesture, thankyou ! The staff in this hotel are kind and very dedicated.

The hotel is very easily accessible from the Heathrow central area in five or tan minutes, using free public transport . Check in was quick , informal, and efficient . The welcome drink voucher is a nice touch and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. This is a simple, unpretentious, hotel and ideal for an airport stayover . It is very good value and offers good accommodation , good value food and an attractive bar area. I cannot see the point in paying a lot of money for a high end hotel when something as good as this is available.

Have stayed in several Ibis Hotels , one thing I noticed that the shower/hair gel varies in viscosity on each visit , where as in Lincoln it was quite viscous and not bad at all . But overall staff very helpful and friendly, breakfast can be a bit hit and miss for the time the cooked comes out of kitchen, so if your on a tight schedule could be awkward . this will be my third stay at London Heathrow. No complaints !

Stayed in many hotels or or to flying overseas, this has been the best one and intend to continue to use it for future Heathrow departures. Good value for money, watch out if you have car it's £12 to park for the night (24hrs). Food in the evening was very good and reasonably priced, drinks are what you unfortunately have to expect from airport hotel 'pricey, they would sell more if they lowered there prices on drinks! Check in is quick and hassle free.. Only down side was the room was to hot and we could not cool it down the air con system was not up to the task and it was cold out side..... Would we go again, yes!

Ibis London Heathrow Airport is easily accessed by the Hotel Hoppa and it has a clear board within reception on other buses that can be gotten from there. The room was quiet and comfortable. The bathroom facilities were clean and the shower was very hot. There was a plug socket near to the bed so that was a bonus! The breakfast on Saturday was good but the hot food was lacking quality on Sunday/Monday.

Do make sure you know the name of the hotel. There are two IBIS hotels near the Heathrow airport. IBIS London Heathrow Airport Hotel can be reached using the Heathrow shuttle bus. Just catch the correct one. If in doubt the friendly bus drivers will advise you which one to catch. The bus is much more economical than a taxi. The hotel staff like all IBIS hotels are friendly and understanding, knowledgeable and provide good answers for this traveller's questions. The room was spacious. the amenities very good and most of all a very good bed. Breakfast choices were more than enough. I would choose this IBIS hotel again if arriving in London again.

Returned to this ibis and "got it right" this time. To get there take any bus from the LHR Terminal 2 Bus Station (they run every five minutes) and alight nearby. The bus ride is free and fast. Eat before you arrive, and avoid the breakfast (manufactured scrambled egg, absence of fresh, healthy food). To return, buses go frequently to any Terminal from the other side of Bath Road - I caught the bus direct to Terminal 5 (again free and it took just 16 minutes instead of the 46 minutes by the Hoppa bus - even if that shockingly poor Hoppa bus arrives at all). Follow my guidelines and this is great. ibis room is excellent - smaller than average ibis but terrific value. Staff are great and the Hotel creates a fun atmosphere. ibis pays its staff at or near minimum wage and given this they were the best aspect of the Hotel.

We visited here for one night pre-flight. This is our regular hotel now for flights as it is ideal for a short stay. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and food is acceptable. The hotel will arrange a taxi to the airport (£13 to Terminal 5 at 4 am). Rooms here are on the small side, but they are functional. Everything works and its clean. Nice walk-in shower room. Competitively priced and does what you need it to do. We didn't have breakfast as we were out at 4 am.

Always a problem to write a review for a Hotel used many times over the past 15 years with a minimum of 3 stays per year. Have written about late arrival and check in. The new roving front "desk" does not alter the fact that if only one person is working and is tied up there is a wait. I would be more impressed if the 'key' was prepared and ready to go for my 23-30 arr. Unfortunately the individual concerned was less than friendly for check in and departure. No longer are there familiar faces of welcome.

Thanks for the room the rate and the present staff, very enjoyable stay. Planning to stay here quite often as I have family and business functions in the area. Will try the breakfast and bar there next weekend when I visit again, give me some comps and i make it more often again.

I believe the brand is very good but felt my the connection with the hotel and National Express Limited. Case in point, I had to wait almost two hours after arriving Heathrow Air[port to travel to the Hotel and on departure it was virtually the same situation. Upon waiting with ticket for National Express, I reflected on the connection with the Hotel if there is one on how National Express can ruin a pleasant stay with Ibis. In fact, the transportation gave me bad feelings as I could not imagine how the H6 route could be so off schedule. It is not likely that IBIS is responsible but the connection of the Shuttle service with IBIS could very well leave a bad taste, not necessarily Ibis' fault, on patrons. This issue is serious enough that I have taken time out of my schedule to document it since I almost missed my flight even though I held fast to the schedule.

I pass thru Lhr often and for past 10 years have over-nighted at the Ibis. During this time period there have been renovations, upgrades and now updates. The latest room I stayed in had mostly cosmetic changes with multi-colored paint and carpeting schemes. It really does give the room more personality and charm. The storage area has more space for suitcases, but unfortunately, in order to do this, the majority of shelves were removed, incl in places where it did not add to suitcase storage space. There are new light fixtures and TV is larger as well, but again, shelf space above TV was removed and the room could be very messy for more than one person. The desk by window has been replaced as well, mostly cosmetic. Unfortunately the curtain still unnecessarily sweeps by the desk knocking things to the floor. It should be a half-curtain(if wall is to be covered) and desk fixed to the wall. One item I've heard mentioned is the pillows, which are very bulky and firm, not for everyone. The hotel itself still has the advantages it has always had. It is close to the Lhr free bus network allowing customers to avoid the Hoppa £4.50 pp fee. The staff are consistently friendly and the check in system using mobile devices seems to help with checking in customers quickly. It's proximity to Lhr allows for easy access to Heathrow Express/Connection at Central bus station and to the tubes Picadilly line at both Heathrow and Hatton Cross. As always, Le Club Accor members benefit with a free welcome beverage.

Have stayed here before and it is always good. The bar and restaurant are good, the staff throughout the hotel were excellent. Breakfast is very good. Check in and check out were made very simple. Will stay again

Ideal location for overnight stay before flight. Room on the small side but very cheap, comfortable beds. Car parking overnight reasonable at £12. Very good food in restaurant and fair prices. Hallway areas needing upgrading.

We had a very good time at the Ibis in Heathrow, London. The room was clean and functional with good service. The location is very convenient to access the airports, railway stations and the bus stop.
