Perfect location when using the train from/to Duesseldorf, nice and friendly staff and very good breakfast. Cleaning of the hotel and general maintenance could be better. Not to recommend for car drivers.
As a frequent business traveller by rail, I always greatly appreciate hotels located, as this one, practically inside railway stations. Nevertheless, the way that room space has been expanded - practically into the cellar, with the necessity to use staircases situated in a peculiar manner - put some strains on me, as I've had a considerable amount of luggage. That said, my reservation was a last-moment one, so presumably the better located rooms had already been occupied.
We stayed one night and had to be near train station. Ideal for that but staff bit grumpy. Room ok, very small and cramped. Air con really noisy and not very effective. Did get one free drink as partner is a silver loyalty member but only for him. Not consistent with other Accor hotels. Usually get on each if I am with him.
Myself and a few mates booked a weekend football tour, so we stopped here as it is was in a good location for us to commute. The service that we were given was very good. We had to book an extra day to our weekend as our flight got changed and they allowed us to stay in the same room which saved us a lot of hassle. Overall, this hotel was very good and I would visit again if I was to go back to Germany in the future.
This hotel is very clean with friendly and helpful staff the rooms are quite small but everything you need for a weekend stay is in them . It is based right next to train but noise from the line is not an issue i didn't hear the trains all weekend and it was ideal as we used the trains regularly all weekend so ideal location
As I was arriving and departing by train this hotel was perfect, they even have an entrance door off the main subway under Dusseldorf hbf station. Unfortunately no restaurant. There are restaurants nearby but these are a walk into town, the nearest are all fast food. The room a/c was apparently in Winter mode, which meant heating only. I had to cool the room down every time I went back by fully opening the window for 10/20 minutes. During the night the room was too warm to sleep properly & comfortably. I personally like it warm, but this was too much. Dusseldorf itself is a typical German industrial city that was & not very inspiring, Cologne is 20mins away by train & much more attractive.
Great stay. Took the train direct from the airport to the main Dusseldorf station. Short walk gets you into the IBIS. Friendly and quick check in and I was in my choice of room. Comfortable / quiet and I got a good nights rest. WiFi good at the staff were attentive at the bar. Next day I was well positioned to continue my travels by train.
For a 2-night business trip, this hotel and its location is very good. My room was clean and I could barely hear noise - perfect for sleeping when you need to rest. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly
Nothing to complain about. Rooms had everything we needed. Slept very well.. pillows quilts mattresses etc were just dreamy. Bathroom functional clean with warm water on demand. Reception always with a smile. Breakfast was compact but one of best i ever had.. nice healthy selection and more.
You always know what you get when you book a stay at Ibis Hauptbahnhof If I´ve got any complaims it would be that the temrature in the rooms are to warm which makes it difficult to sleep well otherwise no complains
Clean, tidy and generally comfortable. Mainly what you expect from an Ibis and in a good location, particularly for public transport! The rooms are of the more compact size but this is completely acceptable in such a city location. Whilst, as i mentioned, the rooms are clean and well kept, they are in need of a refresh and are looking very tired. Bringing them up to date with new lighting and a splash of colour would make the world of difference. Also the air-condtioning / heating system seems to be merely a fan and uncontrolled by yourself. The room did become warm for the night but luckily the window is able to be cracked open which looks in to the hotel courtyard. The staff were generally friendly and of course were able to speak English when my German wasn't up to speed! Finally, the breakfast offering is ok if you are like me and prefer not to go out hungry searching first thing in a morning. It is standard continental option. Not as many choices as say you would receive in a UK ibis but sufficient enough. Düsseldorf is a lovely relaxed city. It feels safe and the people seem friendly. There are good transport options but if you are able to and or have the time, I definitely reccomend walkIng around. It is easy to navigate and you may find some hidden gems off the beaten track.
This must have been our seventh or eight time at this hotel. All I can say is that as usual it was an enjoyable stay at this hotel, and the next time I visit Dusseldorf, this will again be my choice where to stay.
Small efficient rooms but a little noisy. Friendly staff, clean rooms, plenty of TV channels and a typical breakfast buffet. If you are traveling by train to your destination, this is the perfect hotel.
Lovely hotel and the fact that it's right beside the train station is brilliant. Staff were excellent and the rooms were spotless. I didn't have breakfast but my husband did and said it was great. Will definately stay here again.
The hotel is great for transport links and staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but comfortable and quiet as we looked out onto a court yard...However under the bed had not been cleaned for sometime with a lot of dust build up
Chose this hotel as it was next to the train station and we had to catch our train the next morning. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was nice. Had a good selection of cold cuts, cheese, bread and pastries. i particularly liked the waffle which is freshly made (DIY). Rooms were very old. My room in particular was also not cleaned properly. some rubbish was left on the bedside table when i entered. The carpet and rooms were quite old. Its in the old very first ibis design. There's a door connecting you direct to the train station. Very convenient if you just need a night's stay for train connections. As it is a hauptbahnhof there are many connections via public transport to take you around the city.
Situated in the Main Railway station the hotel has direct links to airport and to many cities in Germany. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are standard Ibis standard and there is little if any noise from the railway.
Very helpful team, comfortable room and good breakfast! The location is super - right beside the entrance to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main station). In spite of being in the town centre, the rooms are very quiet.
I used to stay at the airport before early flights but this is my new choice and way cheaper. Literally in the train station so super easy to get early morning connections regardless of weather and traffic. Rooms are small but very clean with laminate floor (i.e. No gross carpet). TV has BBC World and a couple other English channels.
This hotel is located inside Duesseldorf Central Station, with very good connections to the international airport or other cities. Rain or snow, you`ll get to the trains quite easily. The rooms are faced to an inner area.
