Wife and I both left with itchy insect bites from bed/pillows. Not sure how long ago Accor Group took-over this hotel but it damages their image. Not expensive so was not expecting much, but was expecting it to be clean. I tried to indicate "terrible" below but it automatically gets changed to "Excellent!!" What a scam!!

We stayed for 6 nights. Plus points - really friendly helpful staff, without whom we would not have managed the metro closures etc. Breakfast was good, as always with Ibis. Location isn't bad, very close to the Metro, lots of touristy restaurants nearby. Comfortable beds. Now the minus points...it is a tired old building, and slapping Ibis colors of paint on it doesn't disguise that. Tiny bedroom, with a sloping floor...my grandson has a spirit level on his iPhone, it was a slope for certain! There is only a small area to sit in at reception, not a bar. Bathroom very small, in need of a refurb...but then the whole building is. If you have any mobility issue, please be aware there are stairs up to the lift, and a flight of stairs down to the breakfast room. If you need a base for a few days for doing the tourist stuff, it's ok.

I like this hotel, and have been there for many times and will back again and again. Good prices for Paris, nice location, practical transportation by metro, excelent wifi, average but good breakfast included, lots of good restaurantes nearby. My only complain is about the poor ilumination of the rooms. May in te future the ilumination can be better? Hope so!

i chose this Ibis Styles because of its proximity to location of business meeting (XIe arrondissement) and competitive pricing. Comfortable bed and quiet night's sleep in this side road off the Place de la République.

A very pleasant hotel in a nice area close to lots of bars and restaurants I would recommend the restaurant next to the hotel which served up good food at a reasonable price. This Hotel is handy for the metro being just off the square.

The check-in staff were helpful but seemed a little disorganised. The check-in was small and crowded and the staff added to this confusion by attending to demanding guests who were not happy to queue. It was a little frustrating. Even by Paris standards, the rooms are very small. There is storage only for one suitcase and no desk, just a ridiculously small, unstable, circular table not big enough to be of any practical use. The room decor is tired and appearance scruffy. However, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. While we ere not intending to spend much time in the room watching TV, it was disappointing that of the 100 or so TV channels there was only one in English and that was the horrid CNN. C'mon guys, get the BBC. The included breakfast was adequate but the coffee was not good at all. We were disappointed and expected more. We would not recommend.

The staff was great (just for one person, the night receptionist, quite bossy, just because I asked for an invoice for the deposit of 10 euros, he answered in a quite rude way). If someone asked you for a deposit in that 's to be shown somewhere that you paid for it. The manager who welcome us the first day, very professional," sympatique ", agréable et gentil. The staff dealing with breakfast, very nice and kind. Breakfast, delicious. Room, basic, but clean and great heating. Excellent situation.

Having just got to door of hotel when emergency services started to arrive in area (9.45 pm), I felt safe behind buzzer controlled entry. Sleep quality was terribe but because of on-going terrorist activity not any factors within the contriol of Ibis.

Booked this hotel for its location as i went for late Moulin Rouge show and this hotel is nearby. The room is pretty upsetting, bathroom is easily flooded due to poor designed. My silver membership earned me no privileges or priority in this hotel. Despite requested for a decent room when i checked in as early as 9am, when i returned at 5pm, the gave out all nice rooms and left a lousy room for me. The hotel front desk man is a very helpful and polite person though, but not the afternoon/night-shift lady. The breakfast is pretty ordinary but edible, at least. The elevator is also another nightmare, slow as snail. The staircase, never want to try it. Think twice before you book.

This is the worst Ibis hotel i have ever been to. The so called lobby is unconfortable and extremely small with only six chairs, poorly arranged. The breakfast is extremely poor with almost no choices. The breakfast room doesn't fit the Ibis style, being disagreable. The access to the small lift is difficult, surrounded by steps. The room, rented for a family of three, hadn't even space to store the luggage, as if we were in a hostel and not in a hotel.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights in July '15 and the rooms were clean if a little small. We had a small balcony overlooking the street, which was nice, but most rooms don't have it. Staff was cordial and helpful with directions. We'd lost our phone charger and then helped by charging our phone as well. Location is pretty good - the Metro (Republique is a major station) is not far away and there are restaurants in most directions.

Old hotel with bad smell in the room. Bad functioning of air conditioner. Torn blanket; Accor policy for reimbursement is insufficient (10%). Accor does not have a 24/24 help phone for problems that might happen in the hotel. The front desk called 10 different people without success.

We had a really good experience with the hotel. All of the staff were accommodating and dealt with my limited French language skills with humour (although they all spoke English anyway). The room was fine. It was just what we needed, clean and large enough. The hotel is situated near a canal area, which is where we generally went in the evening for food. It is also 5 minutes walk from the Republique tube station which has good connections to the rest of the city. The fact that breakfast was included in the price of the room was also a big bonus. The only slight issue we had was that it’s on a fairly busy road, but it’s not really a problem if you keep your windows closed at night. Overall, we’d highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel was a lot more basic than I thought it would be. No drawers to put any clothes in and you have to live out of your suitcase. Room was really small even by European standards. It was the smallest room I have stayed in anywhere I've visited in Europe. I kept banging my shoulder on the television hanging on the wall when trying to cross the room. We had a corner room which had 3 windows in the main room and 1 in the bathroom. The area was very noisy but if you shut all the windows, you hardly heard it. The soundproofing worked really well. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Neat breakfast room, like a cave. We enjoyed the 5 days we were there, but as I mentioned earlier, way too small and simple (1 bed with 2 tiny night stands a small table and a folding plastic chair) If simple and small is not your style, avoid this hotel.

Avoid this hotel.tiny bedrooms and bathroom. Wood chip wallpaper painted purple and other bright colours. Bathroom fittings did not match....green wash basin and other fittings white. Lift very small and did not always work.

Nice little hotel. Fairly central. République Metro station just around the corner less than 5 minutes walk with several lines including one directly from Gare du Nord - perfect for anyone getting off the Eurostar. Free breakfast included which is fairly basic notably croissants, pain au chocolate, bread, yoghurt, cheese and ham. Great fresh orange juice. Free wifi which is great for the modern traveller and keeping in contact with friends staying in a different location to us. Main issues we had was the noise. We could hear a lot I think because it is an old home converted into a hotel hence thin walls. It wasn't awful but some nights we did struggle sleeping. One night we got woken up around 5am with lots of banging for ages. Looking outside there was a van which suggested to me it must have been the laundry. Other than that, staff were friendly and the hotel was clean.

Good location, good value for the money. You sacrifice services and size, and it's a value brand. I stayed at other Ibis styles and this location or the brand in general has slipped for the complimentary breakfast. The croissants/breads were not as fresh, and the not as strong or fresh tasting. The staff certainly was not very friendly but I expect in Paris, but the other locations in past in Paris were very friendly. Also they keep you key at front desk when you leaven and buzz you in each time, which I don't really like and usually only do in really dangerous cities in developing countries. Room was clean/quiet and complimentary soap/shampoo combo did the job. Very low ceilings so careful if you are tall.

This hotel is a good option. Pros: excellent breakfast (which is rare in Paris), good location, and a very nice staff (specially Pietro, who talks portuguese also). The rooms are very little and the mattresses are bad (very soft), but this is a minor problem. There are excellent restaurants nearby, not turistic ones.

Location of the hotel is quite good as there is a Metro station less than 5 minutes away. The room I stayed was pretty small. A nice breakfast is served in the basement which is a nice atmosphere. I recommend that you take note of the advise of the hotel management not to keep any valuables in the room. I had some complaint about the hotel and sent them a few emails, but I never got any reply.
