booking.com price and hotel price should be checked before to make any reservation . don't trust your loyalty card . hotel is really old but clean , breakfast and restaurant is not bad . lobby is like a shopping mall , people are coming to sell everything ...
The breakfast has been the same for about 4 years. Most of the food that should have been available for the breakfast buffet had run out and there was no replacement till i left the eating area. The bedroom was a bit damp. The access to the internet was also a bit cumbersome. Overall i believe the hotel needs to be refreshed.
Location wise was very good. And the shuttle from and to the airport is a BIG advantage. The staff is friendly and the breakfast was also wholesome and good! Thanks for a comfortable trip and stay. Best wishes
Hi there, I had a great stay in the hotel, excellent service and so on but just that an improvement has to be made in terms of bed sheet and towels as to me it is not acceptable to have such in a hotel such Ibis.
Mid range hotel with friendly staff, excellent breakfast (real coffee!) and good WIFI. Rooms quite functional but clean. Decent burgers and food in general pretty good. Good location for conferences with large meeting rooms
I cannot believe this is a property of a major global hotel brand. The place is disgusting. My room was run-down and dirty; I felt I couldn't have my bare feet on the floor, which was some sort of plastic 'carpeting' with dark stains all over it. The walls and ceilings were moldy and chipped. Even the towels were ratty and off-color. I've stayed in youth hostels as a college student that were nicer. Disgraceful.
One of the good hotel to stay with comfort and having good service and polite staff. It is in center of the city and having good ambiance. Breakfast is excellent and good wi-fi network. One of the good hotel to be in Abidjan.
A very clean hotel. Most of the staff were bi-lingual and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious and at least 4 Star status. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The WiFi was a good speed and stable. Booking on the app was slightly problematic the second time round but otherwise a decent hotel. A repeat stay is a definite.
Initially I thought this hotel is out of order. As wifi was not available, no special treatment for gold status member etc. but after one week things looked okay, considering environment. Wifi was fast once it became available. Entrance is safely guarded. There is a kind of garden so that you can still relax a bit. Breakfast was very flexible and start serving as early as 4:30 am! The building is very old. You may find some dripping near bathroom.
The quality of the rooms need to be improved to match the lobby and reception and also the hotel name. The rooms are not that appealing. Hotel need to have local laundry service. it doesnt make sense to have normal service taking 24hrs. The rooms needs also more ammenities.
My stay was pleasant but breakfast buffet is "poor":(. Informed the cook on my departure that they should review the recipe of "scrambled egg" as there was too much cream. Besides, it would be great to have a variety of bread ( e.g. brown bread)
I had stayed at Ibis Plateau a couple of times before and find it disappointing that services provided is getting worse. Hotel used to provide complimentary water and tea/coffee in the room. Not anymore! Now you get only one bath and floor towel and no body lotion. The curtain in my last room is askew and floor rug unclean! Really discouraging!
As a rule I do not stay in chain hotels while in Africa as often they are a poor cousin to their European counterparts and expensive. I stayed here because conference organisers put me up here. I was pleasantly surprised. While I still prefer staying in local places (to remind me that I am actually in Africa) this hotel was clean, excellent staff, good (non-fancy) food and the necessary amenities. Free shuttle to and from the hotel a definite plus! This is a good place to stay if you are a first time visitor to Abidjan and a bit nervous about plunging head first into the challenges and joys of African life.
A beautiful hotel, but highly understaffed, need to do more about security should creen their staff properly especially the domestic staff for room cleaning and laundry services. The food was good and the staff were courteous. it is in the centre of town and can be easily assesed,. The airport shuttle is particularly helpful. I would recommend it to other travellers
I have used this hotel on two occasions and will use it again. It is located right in the middle of Plateau 20-30mn drive from the airport. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the food is a combination of French and African cuisine. I actually find the standard of the hotel much better than Ibis hotels that I have used in France or UK. Will definitely recommend it.
first of all, do not exchange foreigh currency with the front desk from the hotel, even a random guy at airport gives me 1 USD = 480 CFCA, the hotel guess what 1 USD = 425 CFCA only. secondly, consider other options rather than the hotel's food. after 6:30 pm you could only enjoy their 30 USD buffet with little choice. and the taste....don't wanna mention it.
I requested the reception to include my breakfast in the hotel tariff, but they rudely declined to do so. I have been getting this service being a silver member in all your hotels in africa. also, I requested them to redeem my points for the extended stay on 11th/12th of june, but they declined to do so making me pay more money.
