We've stayed at the Ibis twice a year for the last 3 years. Pros: Very pleasant and helpful staff. An excellent location, just minutes on foot to the Town Square, bars and restaurants plus the cathedral. Safe car park which is locked overnight. Some rooms have 2 sets of double glazed windows which cuts down on street noise outside. Cons: Some rooms are a little small. We book a room for 3 for more space although there are only 2 of us. Due to nature of path and road our car 'grounds' coming out of car park. Car park can occasionally be full which means parking outside. For us this is the best value hotel in Saint Omer.
Lovely, clean hotel with lovely, friendly staff. Ideally situated for main square where eateries, patisseries, etc all located. Boat trips should be available on the main canal rather than up a little side canal. But all in all a lovely place to visit
Another relaxing 2 night stay at the Ibis Saint Omer Centre. Staff were welcoming as usual. We've stayed here on a number of occasions, I'm sure the car knows it way. We stayed Thursday and Friday night and were able to visit the fabulous market on Saturday morning before we made our journey home.
I had a perfect long weekend break, Friday to Monday, in a perfect hotel in a perfect location with perfect service I cannot fault anything about this hotel and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone
Have stayed here many times - there is not a lot of choice in St Omer. Disappointed that when arriving to find all the staff having a smoke just outside the rear entrance from the car park, meant I had to walk through all their smoke, OK, but when taking bags out to car the next morning, there they all were again - there must be other areas in the car park that or somewhere else away from the building. So, checked in, given room key, up in the lift only to find the cleaners were still in the room - would have been happy to be told that my room wasn't ready. Breakfast, always good but when I asked for English breakfast tea bags for my family, was disappointed to be given ONE bag - were we meant to share it?
All good. Clean, comfortable & well located. Helpful and friendly staff. No issues, nice spacious rooms, reasonably priced. Will probably use again for 1st and last nights for trips to Europe. Perfectly located for Calais.
This hotel is situated less than a minutes walk from the main square of the delightful town of St. Omer. The property itself is characterful with secure parking for any Europe - bound motorist. Staf are friendly and due to a regular throughput of English guests and of course their own talents they can solve any problem we have had over the years including recommending vets. under the system for reimporting your pet. The only disturbance we have ever had over many years of visiting this hotel was from an over excited group of English guests.
We always stay here before and after the Eurotunnel it's a very convenient stop. The rooms are always clean and beds very comfortable. They have a little restaurant available for breakfast and dinner but there are some very nice restaurants right round the corner. Also an added bonus it has a safe car park which is secure.
Clean and convenient hotel well located for a stopover.Centrally located so handy for shops, restaurants and local town sights.Efficient staff and good restaurant with friendly staff.Great WiFi and comfortable bed
Staff are excellent no without problem to solve in your stay. Some rooms are a little small but have all the amenities needed but all are correct! as I have stayed here several times a year for the last 30 years. The location is perfect in the center of the town, and it has an enclosed car park if ypu arrive to check in the afternoon.
Always stay here when we are in St Omer , its in the perfect spot . The only problems i ever have with this hotel is that if you are traveling in the summer time it has NO air con , and as the rooms are small they can be very very warm. And the only other thing that is annoying , is they supply you with just 1 towel each , this is to help the planet apparently ....no its not , its to save on spending money......and when you can pay over 70euros a night with NO air con ,and you pay 7euros to park the car , i for one would like 2 TOWELS.......like the night before i stayed here , i stayed in a Mercure for 107euros with breakfast , WITH air con, as many towels as you want, a free bottle of water , a fridge in the room, and a room twice the size as the ibis in St Omer......so come on Accor people , give us 2 TOWELS at least.......other than that i love this hotel , the staff are great , and i would always stay here
This Ibis is not up to the chain's usual standard. Our room smelt of smoke and the corridors were also smelly and felt dirty. The bed was clean which was something! Bathroom didn't look that clean and towels were very old and thin. Will not be returning!
average hotel.Tiny rooms and very noisy if your street side. Rooms were hot and with the noise from the street it was impossible to sleep with the window open. The shower water pressure was terrible..expensive for what it was. Breakfast was limited with dirty tables that you had to clean yourself..
Have stayed here many times before. It is ideal before embarking on a journey through France or before returning to the UK. The rooms have been updated, there is a bar and restaurant and above all safe and secure parking. I would wholeheartedly recomend the hotel to all.
Location is perfect right in the heart of the historic centre of St Omer and just a few yards from the impressive cathedral. The fact that the hotel has its own car park was an added bonus. The room was compact but clean, in good order and very comfortable for a stay of one or two nights. The lack of air conditioning in the room was adequately countered by the provision of an electric fan (ventilateur). The service provided by the staff in all areas - reception, bar, breakfast, housekeeping - was par excellence. Overall a most enjoyable stay.
Basic hotel but good location in the town centre clise to some very good restaurants ...good breakfast friendly staff. The only negative was the room was hot and because of the busy road we couldn't open our window until about midnight. We would definately stay here again though.
The Staff were very welcoming and helpful. As usual, the breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cheese ham and fruit. My husband was a bit disappointed because there were no madeleines. We particularly appreciated the private car park, even so there was a charge.
We stayed here last August but had a courtyard facing room which enabled us to open window to get some air in the room without too much noise. Impossible with our street facing room this time where it was either too hot in room with window closed or too noisy with window open. Rooms are small but any measure.
Very central, clean hotel, with crisp bedding and good ensuite shower. We always enjoy the Ibis buffet breakfast - lots of fresh food, good coffee or tea, fruit and pastries. Staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms are small- so ok for 1 or 2 nights, but probably not for longer. Parking behind the hotel was available for a small charge, which was also good- although if the car park is full there is paid parking also in the main square.
The hotel is in the center of the town and very old hotel, the rooms are very small but to the usual IBIS standard. The staff where very helpfull and the food in the restaurant was very good.Overall a good location for our trip to the south and would stay again.
