Have stayed at Ibis Barentin many times as it is a very convenient stop off when travelling on the autoroute to the south. The rooms are small but comfortable, the staff are friendly and welcoming. There is no restaurant but a good snack menu is available - eg nice risotto and fresh fruit salad. Free tea/coffee always available. There is an American style diner just opposite and other restaurants just a 2 minute walk away. Good location for spending a day in Rouen as well.

Excellent location. Great breakfasts and staff.very noisy air con though. On or off it sounded like someone was drilling through my wall. Everything else was fine. No lift which was strange. Good check out times and information. Staff froze my freezer blocks for me which was useful

Very pleased with our visit to this hotel. Well positioned in town with access to shopping and eating places. Only drawback is the absence of a lift. Breakfast was very welcome and the variet of food available was excellent and nicely presented

Ibis Styles does not pretend to be 5 star and bearing that in mind, this hotel provided us with everything that we expected. Both reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Supermarket is next door with very cheap diesel!

We have stayed at this hotel many times on our way to the west coast and have generally found the rooms to our liking. The hotel is ideally situated, close to main roads and a supermarket and eating facilities. The staff are always extremely welcoming and always meet our expectations in dealing with requests. However, on this most recent visit I was surprised and disappointed to have to complain about the state of the toilet in our room which had not been cleaned and I had to ask for it to be rectified, which it was.

Only one man on to arrange breakfast and check people out when hotel packed with group bookings. Had to pay pay for breakfast in the price but ended up without anything as there were no trays, cups for coffee, plates, cutlery or somewhere to sit. Waited 20 minutes and was given one spoon! Stood waiting but ended up having to leave as had a train to catch.

Very small rooms, but comfortable and clean, super comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Make sure you ask for a quiet room........ Busy road one side. Very friendly, helpful staff. We could only find fast food restaurants nearby.

The reception area of this hotel was bright, trendy and very welcoming. The receptionist looked good and was smiling and helpful. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was super with such a lot of choices and a very nice clean bright setting. We will definitely stay at one of the Ibis Style hotels again and hope they are all similar to Barentin

I've already completed a negative survey somewhere else, but I'm afraid this single night was dire. Arrived at 4am because the ferry to Dieppe was late. Of course, no fault of the hotel, but I was awoken at 8:15 by drilling in the wall behind. No choice but to leave. The plan was to break my journey between Dieppe & Tours but for all the rest I had, I might as well have driven on through the night. Pointless stay and did not expect putting up guests with this disruption. I'm only able to score low as I had no experience of the hotel at all apart from a few moments in my room.

We stayed on 12th September 2015, easy drive from Dieppe, easy to find in the dark. Pleasent gentleman on reception, it was very obvious the hotel was under renovation. Our room was recently made over because there was a faint small of fresh paint. Our room was comfortable and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was newly done altough a few finishing touches needed to be completed. The shower was very good although the water escaped out of the bottom of the shower door. The hairdryer was excellent. Breakfast was good, the dining area had yet to be renovated but was clean and functional.

Hotel undergoing refurbishment, bare floor in the corridors. No restaurant facilities. Neither of these were mentioned at the time of booking. On the positive side, the rooms were tastefully refurbished and the shower was excellent.

It is a few years since I last stayed here and I hoped that the deficiencies in maintenance would be attended to by now - but NO. There are signs of mould on the shower/bath walls and all the fittings date from the earliest days of Ibis. Although rooms are superficially clean, there is only so much that can be done on a daily basis when the infrastructure is so dated. Breakfast is a very modest affair, too, compared with other simialr hotels. Sad.

Very conveniently situated for the autoroute but this hotel is badly in need of a makeover. The rooms are small and the noise of the air conditioner makes sleeping difficult. Why does the room also need a portable electric radiator which makes the room temperature very hot. No restaurant in the hotel and unsecured parking were also negative factors. I have cancelled a planned return stay this week in favour of your property in Tours Nord which I know is a good one! Staff were pleasant.

Don't be misled by the photographs on this hotel's web page - they are stock photographs of a place that's nothing like the Ibis North Rouen. And For foreigners like me, take note, Barentin is not so much a district if Rouen as a small town about 15km north. That said, the hotel was clean and tidy, the room and bed comfortable, and the receptionist was pleasant and helpful. It's also very good value for money

Very comfortable room with a good shower. the hotel is well located with restaurants, shops and fuel nearby. Slightly old-fashioned traditional feel but clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast. Secure parking.

Change the chipped bath, repair the basin plug and holes in shower curtain, room was smaller than most Ibis hotels, needed another chair in room. The hotel car park did not have a secure area as the gate no longer worked

My partner and I used the hotel as a stop over, breaking a long 8 hour car journey from the UK to Nantes in France. The hotel was very tired and in need of a make-over. Nothing like the 'generic' picture used on the IBIS website- very misleading. We stayed on a Friday night and a week later on a Saturday night. The first room, No209 had ripped and faded curtains, pebble dashed walls and the shower curtain was very old and tired looking (off white colour). The wall paper above the bath was mouldy. The second room, No204 had a large white stain on the carpet outside the door. The wall paper above the bath was again mouldy (dark patches) and the walls of the room were also pebble dashed like a 1970's house exterior. As the room was very cramped, if you rubbed against the walls, you could graze yourself due to the rough, pebble dashed walls. A very grim hotel room. The breakfast, on both of our stays, had items missing from the selection. They had been eaten by other residents and not replaced/ refilled. I am referring to the egg 'tortilla' and the mini pancakes. Very poor value for money for €9.50. The fruit salad also had a fizzy taste. It may have been off? Going to the 'Quick' restaurant next door would have been much better value in hindsight.

We stayed at the Ibis in Rouen to break a long journey from Perpignan back to the UK. It was perfect for our needs - clean, friendly, quiet at night for a good sleep, and provided an excellent buffet breakfast in the morning. The lady on reception when we arrived was particularly friendly and very helpful with advise on the local area.

book in process ok, room dated, overlooked garden and reception, initial thoughts were positive, as it was away from traffic noise, however during the night reception area became very, very noisy including a 3 am fag break by night porter with one of his mates. realised at 0630 next morning that it wan't just noise that occurred during the night as we had to avoid the vomit in reception as we booked out. not a happy stay, would not recommend. have only given an upgrade from terrible to poor because of proximity of restaurants and supermarket.

The only good thing about this hotel was the pleasantness of the staff. It should have been renovated 10 years ago at least- or preferrably demolished and rebuilt as it was in very poor condition and I would say impossible to clean- there was extensive black mould in the bathroom that seemed to have become permanently ingrained into the wallpaper. Do not use the retaurant ! poor quality high price. An extremely poor experience - which was a pity as its position is good - easily accessible.

Hotel design

Welcome to another world. Alice's world. Total immersion the minute you set foot in the lobby. Touches of purple for a bit of fantasy, a checkerboard makes a bold visual statement. It's simple: from images of chessboards to "pawn" stools, it's all the hallways, knights and bishops play around, and in the rooms... the story continues! "Once upon a time there was a huge bed and a very soft comforter..." Comfort is the game point here. Ready to play another round?

Combine childhood spirit and decorative charm. This was the challenge the designer set for the décor. The result: an homage to Andrée Putman, with a nod to Alice in Wonderland. Here, the checkerboard is king! So chic, so fun!

The hotel's players welcome you. The décor gets big points. At Ibis Styles Rouen Nord Barentin, we play the relaxation card. Whether you are here for business or a relaxing weekend, you feel good, at the top of your game. And that's what makes it all so wonderful!
