Excellent overnight stay. comfortable bed. good food helpful staff nothing else to say overnight in and out. that sky can't keep writing just to complete review. not that brilliant really. ordinary hotel
After delays we arrived very late. The hotel staff were excellent and we got settled in quickly. We then had to leave early after a good nights sleep. We had a lovely a big breakfast that set us up for the day. Thank you.
The room was spacious and clean. The only thing we could wish for would be tea/coffee making facilities in the room as in British Ibis hotels. Not liking anything on the menu, it was no trouble for us to have an omelette, which was cooked to perfection.
I stay here regularly on my way n home from French trips. It's the ideal distance from Calais & only a short detour off A26. Always a good standard and upgrading/improving all the time. Good breakfast!
I have stayed at this Ibis frequently since the late 1990's. I first came across it by accident but was so impressed by the dinner menu, lots of choice of local dishes, well cooked and a pleasant environment that I made a point of staying here en route to other destinations and as a base for my family Christmas shopping trips. While the accommodation has remained of a high standard the same cannot be said for the cuisine. It appears that the bean counters have been in. The menu was formulaic, more tables have been crammed in and the menu and wine list very disappointing. It is now no better than any chain of similarly priced establishments. Also, the service was far inferior to previous stays: one waiter and a dining room with every table occupied. My Faux Filet eventually arrived cooked as ordered, but then clearly left for a long time to cool and dry out, my daughter's pasta was cold and uncooked (definitely not al dente). The choice at breakfast was limited than I had experienced and, for the first time, some of the cheese was in individually wrapped portions. Finally, it appeared that the hotel was being used extensively as a conference/meeting centre with many of the delegates, smoking in the meeting rooms or corridors as, at times, the stench pervaded the ground floor corridors. This was almost certainly my last stay here.
Excellent place to stay with the added bonus of a restaurant. Close to the area of the battle ground from the first world war.The hotel was clean and welcoming from the first moment I arrived.I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
This was the second time we have stayed at Cambrai. On this and the previous visit the hotel was clean, staff were very nice and the room was perfect for our needs. The bonus for us was that we could eat at the restaurant onsite. We would definitely stay again.
We use this hotel regularly on the way back to UK. It is comfortable and dinner and breakfast are good .Typical location for ibis but convenient for motorway and easy to find Staff friendly and helpful..
This is a hotel we visit regularly due to its convenient position near to the motorway route. The hotel has recently been renovated in a style which I found to be rather too sombre for my taste. But the rooms are very well equipped, there is an in-hose restaurant which serves good quality food at reasonable prices.
Stay at the Ibis Cambrai every year when we come to a football tournament. The Manager and staff are very helpful, the hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfast good choice for a continental, we had a couple of evening meals in the hotel which were good and value for money.
I had initially been booked into the F1 hotel over the road with my son. Due to that hotel not having any en-suite facilities, I moved to the Ibis Cambrai. I am delighted I did so and the hotel was excellent. Really comfortable beds and very clean. Great value for money.
I would have given it 3.5 stars if I could. A comfortable double room on the ground floor with our dog, a very good shower, tv etc. We were offered a room on the first floor at first, but with no lift, luggage and a dog it was quickly changed to the ground floor. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, lots of choice, we had cod with leeks and rice in a sauce and then I chose creme brulee which was excellent and a carafe of white wine. All very nice. Our only problem was finding the place. Using a GPS and the hotel address it was nowhere to be seen, I phoned the hotel and eventually we found it. But is the address correct? Not according to the GPS. Apart from that I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stop.
Hotel easy to reach. Clean and efficient check in. Room spot less. Shower hot and strong. Bed comfortable. Love the wood flooring ! They remembered my welcome drink and the ten percent discount with my Ibis Business card.
Although it was quite late when I arrived - the desk was manned with welcoming staff. The room was spotless and quiet. I felt thoroughly comfortable and enjoyed a very good nights sleep. On leaving the staff were equally attentive.
Externally not much to look at but once inside the hotel has recently been made over. Reception staff very helpful and the food from the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again!
Very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast normal continental, evening dinner good value for money. We were in Cambrai for a junior football tournament and we took over the whole of the F1 Hotel next door, with the overflow of people staying in the Ibis.
The hotel is on the outskirts of Cambrai & is ideally located for travelling into Cambrai or the surrounding areas, The hotel was up to the usual good standard we expect from all of the Ibis hotels we have stayed in
The website for the Ibis at Cambrai did not give a GPS location so as a result I had an argument with my satnav before I found it. On the plus side the room was the standard well appointed Ibis room. Clean, functional with all that is needed. This is a small hotel on two floors and there is no lift. Access upstairs by a spiral staircase. Just off the autoroute exit and with secure, gated parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful and room was reasonably priced. On the down side it was rather depressing and outside it needed painting - maybe it was designed to fit in with Cambrai which is not the loveliest town in France! Restaurant was basic and the meal was passable. The quality of Ibis hotels seem to vary greatly. The night before I stayed at the Ibis in Beaune and it (especially the restaurant) was excellent.
Helpful staff, room comfortable, good size compared with our stay at the Ibis Haguenau. Good menu in restaurant for dinner, enjoyable meal. Very easy access to the A26 and A2 motorways. Have used this hotel a number of times on our route to Austria from the UK.
The room was ok, better if we could have tilted the window at night because if you opened it the wet window dripped in the room. It was functional in the bathroom but the hair dryer kept falling off its magnetic holder, The restaurant was fine nice dinner, good service and the menu was adequate nice deserts. The breakfast was in my opinion a little poor lack of fruit no eggs small choice of cheeses etc Premier Inn provide a full cooked breakfast included continental items much much more for the same price So Ibis need to work on their breakfast presentation and quality. Very friendly staff particular mension for the hard working dinner waitress a credit to Ibis. FULL OFF want to be! Bike riders and the hotel need to draw some lines on acceptable dress on the restaurant biking gear which haf been worn all day and barefoot to me is not acceptable and consideration should be given to other guests. Manager problem to sort out. Overall it was a pleasant stay but the hotel could be improved especially at breakfast and the room windows need sorting.
