We have stayed in this hotel now for the past three years but this time the bathroom was dirt and the air-con didn't work call down to report but no one came to fix any of our problems Not sure we will be using this hotel again
We stayed here while driving from the UK to Portugal. It is very easy to find from junction 19 of the A10 motorway and we found it equally easy to rejoin the A10 further South. At first sight the hotel is depressingly located next to a large Commercial Centre but further exploration revealed a pleasant residential district behind the Commercial Centre and a small park where we were able to walk our dog. The receptionist was very helpful. She found us a luggage trolley and then helped carry the luggage to our room. The main drawback to this hotel is that there is no lift and a rather awkward spiral staircase. The problem could have been avoided if we had known this and asked for a ground floor room. The room was a pleasant surprise as it was much larger than the average Ibis and there was actually room to walk round the bed. There is a Courtpaille restaurant next to the hotel and accessed from reception. This ensured that we had an acceptable meal without needing to go out. While obviously not in the same class of hotel as a Mercure this was a very good example of an Ibis and provided a perfectly acceptable one-night stop-over. The staff were exceptionally pleasant. We would happily stay here again.
A typical Ibis hotel, reception staff friendly and helpful, the room is comfortable and clean. The ContrePaille restaurant next door serves very good food at a reasonable price. There are several alternative eating places nearby and a hypermarket next door. It is a convenient and dependable one-night stop or, as we have done previously, you can stay two nights and take the tram into Tours.
all disabled parking was full only one vehicle displaying badge so had to walk from general supermarket car park was not offered welcome services even though a silver club member but slept very well not disturbed by the morning traffic to hypermarket
The room and bathroom were spacious, the bed was comfortable, there is plenty of desk space and having the restaurant as part of the complex was an advantage. Breakfast was above average for Ibis. Parking outside was free and adjacent ... just like a real motel back in Oz or the States. My only 'complaint' - apart from the lack of an electric kettle ... was that when I flung open the window to get some fresh air, all I got was a big whiff of aviation gasoline ('avgas') from the nearby airport. Well, nowhere is perfect and this is OK for the money, especially 'brekky'.
It is a very convenient overnight stop. Very handy for motorways etc. and for buying wine in Vouvray and Saumur. We have stayed in this hotel on many occasions en route back to Calais from areas further South.
very good hotel the price was right a simple wonderful restaurant only one problem the air conditioning was not working in our room we reported it hope they have fixed it now simply a very nice hotel close to motorway
We stayed here, we had a room on the ground floor which meant we could not sleep with the window open, there was no air conditioning although at 01.40 am when I reported the fact that the air wasnt working to reception the night porter said he didnt know why it didnt work. We didnt sleep the temperature in the room was over 27 degrees C. The following morning when I told this to the receptionist ... her name was FANNY, although she refused to give me her full name, she screamed abuse at me across hotel reception. I do not appreciate being yelled at by your staff. IBIS you have a 15 minute guarantee that you'll sort things out and if you dont you refund the overnight charge... get your act together and do it.... your service is poor your facilities are even worse...
Very nice, clean and tidy room. Beds comfortable and a quiet area so no disturbances. Very helpful receptionist who provided great service and spoke excellent English, she was also amazingly fit which is always a bonus after a long day. I wish she could be at every hotel I visit.
Very friendly efficient staff who had our key ready for us. The hotel is conveniently located in a retail park so no problem parking. Comfortable, clean rooms, great restaurant, easy to find. An excellent stay!
Great Hotel Get there early as there is very little parking Very Clean and the room are second to none Food is very good value for money and you can even get it taken to your room Dog friendly too Loved it
We used the hotel on our way to our holidays, we usually use Ibis when we are travelling as we have found there quality for an over night stay is good. Ibis Tours was clean the staff where very friendly and helpful.
This is an excellent little hotel, probably one of the originals. The room still has a key!! It's easy to find off the autoroute and right next door to a massive Auchan! Very, very helpful and accommodating staff! The guy on reception when we checked in was help personified!
I found the staff to be very friendly and received good service. The restaurent was also very good and reasonablly priced. The location was perfect for me in relation to my clients location and central to shopping if needed. The negatives would be really bad sound proofing between rooms so you hear everything from adjoining rooms. floor carpet was stained and worn. The free internet service was really very slow so could not access any live streaming such as netflix or sport.
This hotel and staff are good and serves our purpose for a one night stay on route home. It breaks the long drive from the South West of France back to Calais and the Eurotunnel. We have made this trip for the past 4 years and always made this hotel our resting point.
I stayed at the hotel for one night during a weekend trip to Loire Valley. Althought the hotel is located quite far from the center of Tours, it´s still a very good option for those who have a car. There is a parking, some market facilities, restaurants and a gas station right near the hotel. Ibis standard rooms and services.
Excellent hotel and good value for money. Restaurant has a very good menu and good service. The only fault is the in the bathroom, the towels are very thin, and there is only a dispenser tube of shower gel hanging on the wall.
Friendly, clean hotel only 3 issues for me: - no secure /gated parking area (I felt it was a little insecure) - the staff sometimes smoke outside the front entrance and it creates a smokey smell in reception - I didnt really like paying an extra 10e for an extra bed (none of the others charge this, as most rooms have a small 3rd bed) Fantastic breakfast though with fresh lemon cake (still warm!) - brilliant
Third visit and everything went to plan. The staff at this hotel are a credit to the company. The only slight criticism perhaps is the breakfast. The choice is rather limited and it would be good to see perhaps an omelette available or at least some hard boild eggs to go with the cold meat and cheese. Also fresh fruit for example apples and bananas. # Otherwise it is all good.
Very clean, Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant attached to hotel is good , food plentiful. Maybe slightly overpriced for an Ibis, As said before its next door to an Auchan supermarket and parking during the day maybe a problem, although I did not have any.. 5 mins drive from the airport. good road connections near by, ideal if visiting the Loire and Château's Did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that..
