Having stayed on numerous occasions here, this time I was very disappointed. The cleanliness of the bathroom was not up to scratch. Breakfast not available at 11h00 - though in the room it said it was available until 12h00. This hotel is old and needs to be refurbished.

I had previously read poor reviews of this hotel but I could find nothing to criticise. The location is perfect although windy weather may affect your sleep, well you are right on the sea. The staff were very helpful and the amenities excellent. Good breakfast and a varied dinner menu with something for everyone.

Really don't know where to start! We would never ever stay at this hotel again. The first thing was the smell that hit you as you entered the room it was bad. It was coming from the bathroom it was absolutely disgusting, either damp or sewage problem! It smelt so bad. Dirty marks under the toilet roll and all over the wall. A build up of dirt and grime on the floor in the door way of the bathroom, also a big gap under the whole length of the bath harbouring lots more filth! Also a dirty shower curtain not attached to all of its hooks and still wet from the people before! It was very tired, dirty, hot [no aircon] The curtains had holes in and and were falling down where hooks were missing. The net curtains were filthy oranges stains and dirty marks all over them and also falling down due to missing hooks. The room had 2 single beds, one of which had a broken leg, the beds were only 2ft 6inches wide and were so well slept in they were already body moulded but to someone elses body, no room for turning and if you did manage to turn you ended up back in the dip! The floor was dirty there was someones old contact lens on the floor by the bed. The window opened fully into the room the frame was very black mouldy and dirty the window catches were very corroded. We had to have the window open because of the smell and the heat. The desk had a large crack and the laminate was lifting, the gap along the front edge was full of dirt and spilages. Both of the soap dispensers had the lids missing! Greasy looking hand marks on the wardrobe doors. Wardrobe shelves coming away from the wall. The only thing we actually liked about the room was the safe it had a light that came on when you opened it! We did eat at the hotel on the first night the food was actually ok but the service was atrocious, there were 6 waiting staff having lots of fun joking around with each other rather than waiting on tables So how was this resolved? On entering the room the smell hit me immediately I rang reception to change rooms and was told there were no other rooms, the receptionist would bring some air freshener in twenty minutes. The receptionist arrived i showed her the faults she said she could do nothing about changing the room because they were full. She said she could do something with the bed and went back to reception. She came back about 20 minutes later and asked for the air freshener back! Obviously the air freshener only worked for a few minutes then smelt as bad again.

A very good Ibis hotel in a great position on the beach, where we have visited a number of times before. The fact that we keep going back says it all! Just what you'd expect from An Ibis Hotel - clean and with good service. Limited facilities in the room and a small bathroom BUT as expected.

we love Le Touquet & visit it often The Ibis & spa are in a wonderful location overlooking the beach . The combined spa&hotel package is good value . However the Ibis has been less than perfect on more than one of our stays not in any great way but in little niggling things like despite my membership not offering a complimentary drink 2years running. Similarly despite my mebership advantages & bookin 3months in advance & pre-registreing 3days in advance not having a room ready on arrival & last year not giving a room on the floor we requested. On both stays the room safe was faulty & the fitted room furniture was broken . Notwithsatnding we will return next year its such a good location & good value as a spa & hotel package

A relaxing stay with sea & swimming. The site of the hotel is enthralling where you can enjoy the sea in all its forms. The catering for breakfast is very full and has healthy options for anyone. In addition the walk to the town is invigorating.

This is a spectacularly sited hotel in which every room (yes, every room) has a sea view and a balcony. The hotel is long and low and built into a sand dune and is a classic piece of early 1970's concrete, may be even brutalist architecture. Some of the decor is a bit scruffy and the age and design of the building have probably contributed to this but you have to look past that to the idea of the building. The rooms was spacious and clean and of course it had a balcony form which we sat and watched the sunset over the sea. The hotel is at one end of the town away from any hubbub, not that Le Touquet seems that noisy. There is free car parking on the roof. The public areas of the hotel and the restaurant are in good shape and we had a reasonable meal served by helpful friendly staff..

Another good stay at the Ibis Le Touquet Thalassa. We had a very good room with a balcony, the weather was good and the sunset view over the sea was fabulous. In the morning The Thalassa pool was not too busy so I had a relaxed swim and then I enjoyed the breakfast.

Great position, not far from the sea and the centre. Good rooms and efficient room cleaning every day. Restaurant had a good range of choices and was served well. Swimming pool and health centre easy to access and was good.

Great Hotel, on the beach good/safe parking. Close to the town but far away from the noise, an excellent hotel to relax at and enjoy the sea view, we shall be staying there again, would recomend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a quiet weekend away

The hotel was clean and comfortable as Ibis usually are. I ate in the hotel but found the service very poor. I waited to be offered a drink in the bar while the woman in charge chatted to her friends despite me making it clear that I wanted to be served. This went on for several minutes (didn't time it but it seemed a long time) My thought was that I'd only been in France for half day and I already had steam coming out of my ears because of the usual level of customer service here. The rest of the service was adequate but not good and the food was very average. Won't be using this hotel again.

Very bad design with restaurant & reception at one end of the line of rooms. Maybe unlucky to have the last room opposite the restaurant. Walked around 160mt to reception!!! Room required repairs and update although bed has per Ibis standards. Staff very helpful & friendly. Restaurant good quality food.

very basic hotel but with access to great salt water pool swimming pool , and if you go for front facing rooms , a fantastic view ,and of course thalassa treatments, which are very expensive at about £50 per treatment

Hotel desperately needs money spent on it as feels dated and tired. Trading on its sea front location .Could do with kettle for tea and coffee making in bedroom .Be prepared for long walk along corridors with cases. Found it strange at breakfast with about a third of other guests in dressing gowns

When you walk in the reception, bar and restaurant area are extremely pleasant. However everything changed when we got to the room. The curtains were dreadful, faded and burnt with holes in. No opening window and no air conditioning in August! Filthy black sealant all around the bath. Chipped furniture and paintwork, all for the fantastic price of E166 for the room! When we complained nobody took any interest until the next day when we were leaving. Would never stay there again.

I booked and paid 8 weeks before arrival for a twin bed room with balcony on upper floor When we arrived at reception I was told there was no room with balcony available which means this room had been double booked. The room we were given the bathroom had a damp smell between wall tiles and bath due to water from shower leaking through a poor seal at bath

Not the best hotel in Le Touquet but wouldn't stay anywhere else when on route to Le Shuttle, with its enviable location and room balcony practically on the beach! Plus over the years we have stayed there the beds and pillows have improved.

Hotel is worn and overpriced. There are far better hotels in Le Touquet for the money. After booking a table for dinner for 19:15 on the first night of my arrival, there were no tables available so I had to travel down town. Room was barely adequate, noisy and lots of dirt around the edges of the floor and the bathroom was filthy. A typical one or two star hotel. I will not stay there again.

On the whole this is a good example of the IBIS brand, and is very comfortable and convenient for the beach!. A moderate walk into the town centre gets you to bars shops and restaurants. The decor in this hotel is getting a little tired, but is still clean and comfortable and the public areas were warm and welcoming. We only had breakfasts, but these were the standard French breakfast with pastries, cheese cold meat etc. and were always fresh and plentiful. The staff are very helpful and friendly - we had a very pleasant visit.

The hotel is in an ideal position. It has direct access to the beach, but is in a quiet location on the edge of the resort. There is a good menu available, but if you want a meal out, there are plenty of restaurants a few minutes walk away with lots of variety. In the hotel, the Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was basic but comfortable. Some of the paintwork was a little damaged, but it was the end of the main season. This was my second visit to the hotel and I shall be returning in the future. It represents good value for money.
