Everything you would expect from an Ibis with a lovely old frontage but modern within. Staff ion arriving and departing were exceptions. Professional and friendly. We had booked three rooms and we we put next to each other - very thoughtful! Only down side was when we came back at night the night porter wasn't friendly and didn't even put the lights on in the bar where we had a couple of drinks. Rooms were bright and comfy. Location was great. Would definitely return.

When I arrived with an email declaring booking confirmed I was informed there was no booking for me. On returning home I am now able to give your confirmation reference - FGTDCSBR. Please advise all prospective travellers to always have their booking reference with them as it appears Accor Hotels may be inefficient.

This hotel is in a great location although we had a bit of trouble negotiating our way through the one way system of La Rochelle. The staff were really helpful and allowed us to leave our bikes in the courtyard. The beds are amazing and so comfortable you get a great nights sleep. All you can eat breakfast good value!

Great location right in the middle of town but no information on website about parking. Had to double park outside hotel and go in to ask directions. Very comfortable bed but bathroom ceiling mouldy. Great choice of food for breakfast.

Good central poisition, clean and comfortable hotel, excellent staff. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. There happened to be a market on whilsy we were there which was a bonus. Parking was a bit challenging but....

This hotel is centrally located, but is in a calm area. The location eats perfect for visiting all that La Rochelle had to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Overall great value for money.

This was our first visit to La Rochelle and we found this hotel to be in the perfect location. The staff on reception were welcoming and checked us in quickly. Located near the old port area, the rooms were comfortable and of a good standard. Breakfast was buffet style and offered a reasonable level of choice. One drawback for us was the car park. Advertised as having parking facilities, the car park for the hotel is the public car park approximately 100 metres from the hotel and pulling a trolley case across the cobbled road to the hotel wasn't the easiest. Apart from that, we found the hotel to be ideally placed for what we wanted from our visit to La Rochelle.

I was surprised to read the history of the building. The small open area was a good place and the staff were very helpful and accommodating as I was part of a group of cyclists. Great location for walking.

Very good situation, nice and clean room but no bottle of water in the room, people not so friendly at the reception and bath gel not openable ....the rest was fine :) that is why the price quality factor is from my point of view at the limit of satisfaction.

Although this Hotel was up to the usual Ibis standard and the bed extremely comfortable, we were far too hot during the night because the air conditioning was not on. Also we were not advised when we signed for the Accord Hotels card that points are only put on your card at the weekend, in Ibis Red Hotels. This seems crazy because most Hotels are busy at weekends anyway and I thought that they would want to encourage more people to stay midweek. So we have stayed in 4 different ibis Hotels recently and no points! We might as well have stayed Chambre d'Hote.

Well located hotel right in the old port with underground car parking very close by and short walk into the main part of town. Pleasant helpful staff spoke good English. Good choice on the Breakfast Buffet. Nice Lounge/Bar area. Quiet room (facing into the courtyard) so can either have the window open or use the AC. Small bathroom but very adequate and a good shower. Clean.

The hotel is located on the fringe of the Vieux Port and has recently been renovated:as a regular user of Ibis Hotels the restaurant/bar prices came as a bit of shock, the price of two croque monsieurs (almost twenty euros) was not matched by the basic quality of the food.Better quality and much better prices could be achieved right in the heart of the Vieux Port, the alcohol prices suffered from the same affliction, one meal one drink then we wined dined elsewhere. We wanted cheap and cheerful, but got clean, comfortable, quality accommodation for two nights at the IBIS in La Vieille Port, La Rochelle. 24 hour service and excellent breakfasts - highly recommended. We will come again.

Highly recommended for a stopover in La Rochelle. Cost effective Ibis hotel service -- clean and efficient -- in a stylish setting, an old church, in the heart of the old port. Pay parking on the square outside.

Stayed here one night with a three year old. The hotel is easy enough to find with sat nav although a diversion did not help! We arrived at lunchtime on a Sunday and parking was a nightmare. We tried to park in a multi story but were refused entry. We drove back to the hotel where we were able to book the same car park and drive back to be allowed access this time! It was an excellent car park - clean, well-maintained, wide spaces and best of all, really close on foot. It is parking St Nicolas and cost 8 €. La Rochelle is pedestrianised on Sundays and parking is much in demand. The room was not ready when we arrived but we left our bags. Location is superb, very central and easy to find somewhere to eat. Also, very close to the aquarium which was queued out. The room was fine, very clean and everything worked. Breakfast was fairly typical and was the easies option for us. Wifi worked perfectly. I was a little wary after booking as reviews were very mixed but I would recommend it. It was value for money.

Hotel extremely well placed, a minutes walk to the marina, harbour and bars/restaurants. Professional, warm and friendly welcome with clear explanation of the hotel facilities. Room, immaculately clean with all necessary mod cons. Large comfortable bed ensured a good nights sleep. Had the 'all you can eat' buffet breakfast ...... very good value with a good range of breads, pastries, cheese, ham.....etc etc. Good coffee and juices. Parking is available in surrounding streets, pay at nearby meters. Free on Sundays...not sure about Saturdays. Would certainly stay here again and would not hessitate in recommending to others.

Situated in a great location close to the old port and within easy walking distance of old town, bars and restaurants. Very comfortable bed, clean and quiet room, good air conditioning, reasonable breakfast, excellent wifi. Staff very friendly. No fridge or safe in the room. If bringing a car, make sure you book it ahead, as space is limited. Would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel, excellent location. Rooms not big but very comfortable. Great shower and all good working order with high quality fittings. Our cleaner was particularly good - room, shower room and bedding squeeky clean. The location looks a bit busy on first sight, but quietens down and crowds shift to the main port / tower side of town. We had no problem with noise, quiet room, air con etc. Easy to hire bikes from main square in front of hotel - suggest you head for the 'chef de baie' for a very pleasant ride on the coastal path with stunning views. Very pleased with our choice of hotel at a great price.

Typical Ibis quality. Good sized room, everything spotless. Good shower-room, plenty space (but I was travelling solo)! Bed had a futon, not a spring mattress but very comfortable. Location was perfect, marina is just across square as is a cafe if you do not have the hotel breakfast. I did not try the breakfast but at E9+ not badly priced as a coffee and croissant can cost E4+. La Rochelle itself is a gem and if you're into cycling it's perfect. Kilometers of cycling paths and "Yelo" bikes for hire. Ille de Re is a must visit, great beaches. Catch the 50/51 from Place de Verdun. Bus tickets Ei.30. Also a nice beach north of town, catch No16 to Chatelaillon Plage but get off at the Aquatic Works. Town beaches have gravelly sand and big rocks from waters edge make getting in or out difficult..

Excellent location, stayed for four nights, room adequate for our needs and spotlessly clean. Good air conditioning, bed very comfortable and would definitely recommend for a short stay. Staff helpful.
