This was our third stay at Ibis Paris Gentilly and we experienced the same friendly, helpful welcome from the reception staff as on previous visits. Our room and bed were comfortable and very clean and quiet overall considering the major roads that are very close by.
The hotel is very nice, the rooms aren’t that big but not really a problem. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, the staffs at the reception are friendly and helpful. The price for the breakfast is too expensive for what they have every morning. The location of the hotel is 15mins away from the city center by train, but you have to walk 10mins aprox to reach the nearest train station.
I was only there for 3 nights travelling alone. The room is basic but very clean and comfortable. Probably not ideal for families with young children as it's a 15-20 minute walk to Porte d'Italie Metro station. There is also Gentilly RER station which is slightly closer but this would bring you to Zone 2 so train prices are more expensive than the Metro. I would not hesitate to return if the need arises and would recommend it. The reception staff were also very pleasant and efficient.
This is a lovely hotel , very clean, excellent staff and nice rooms. Very close to the circular road but no noise at all! Its a ten minute walk to Gentilly station which is a few stops away from the centre of Paris. If you are happy to use the trains and walk the ten minutes to and from the hotel then its a great location for visiting Paris. The walk to the hotel is through the outskirts of Gentilly where there is a lot of renovation and building work going on but that didnt bother us. Its very good value for money.
Quiet, comfortable although a little bit far from the underground. Attention was perfect. There are some alternatives in nearby restaurants and pastisseries for breakfast if you don’t like it at the Hotel
Poor staff services (miserable). Lack of staff in reception & bar therefore they can't cope with any workloads during the day i.e. enquiry, bar services, check in/out etc. I understood in this situation & willing to wait but smile & patience is a must have service attitude in service industry. Dusty in the bedroom floor. Air conditioning was not working.
Stayed here for 2 nights in early September. Price was reasonable and location fine. Hotel good with host of amenities and staff helpful. All together a good experience but....with one reservation. We normally stay at IBIS Tunnel sous La Manche, in Calais, whenever we go back to UK. Their beds are fantastic. This hotel's sadly weren't! The twin beds seemed smaller than a single and the mattress was awful.
Quiet and clean with helpful staff. Ideal for motorists and visitors who don't want to be in the centre of Paris. About 10 minutes walk to the Metro and half an hour to the main attractions. Quiet and established neighbourhood more alike a town than the capital city.
I have used this hotel many times before and have always been satisfied. A bit pricey compared to other Ibis hotels but you must remember you are in Paris. Very comfortable rooms and good hotel facilities. Thought the beer at the bar was a bit expensive, Paris or no Paris. The Metro station is about 10 minutes walk to a good location for exploring Paris. I will use this hotel again.
Just an 8 minute walk from the Gentlly RER station (10 minutes to the center of Paris), on the Peripherique. Clean ,quiet (even in rooms facing the peripherique) and pleasant. Rooms are smallish, as almost in every other Ibis in France, but not a big issue there. Underground parking is a plus, albeit a bit pricey. An altogether great option if you don't want to drive into Paris; great if you are on foot.
the hotel is very clean and comfort, i love the decoration, and the facility they provided. overall speaking, it's good, but some of the people in front desk is very impolite and impatient, I can't remember very clearly, but somelady called sona or something else, I can't remember, she is black (racism at all, just want to describe how she looks like) and a little bit fat, she is very rude and impolite. And also a young tanned guys with short hair is also very impolite, the other guys are very good. since it's just the 2 guys' problem, i would still like to rate this hotel as good.
Located just outside Paris, this hotel offers clean rooms with excellent beds and comfortable bathrooms. Inspite of its location besides the Périhpérique ringway, the rooms are very quiet (no impact of noise from the traffic). For the traveller's convenience, a restaurant is available at a good price/quality ratio. And last but not least, the service by the staff is outstanding. For me it's a pleasure to stay in this hotel several nights each week.
I have stayed in this hotel many times and have always been happy with the service. Staff are generally kind and helpful. the location is not particularly good for those who want to be close to nightlife or shopping. But this also makes it a good place to have a quiet stay, far from crowds and noise. It is one of the best Ibis hotels in Paris as far as the size and service is concerned.
clean facility and helpful staff...location isn't ideal it takes a lot of underground (Métro) to reach busy places...but still, good value for money with guaranteed Accor standards! I only used the hotel for sleeping purposes, the rest of the day i'd be wandering in Paris :)
There were water leakage problem in the shower room and poor sound insulation. Breakfast has not many choices. There was no pot available in room so that i have to go to the bar to get hot water every morning, fortunately, the staff in bar and reception counter is nice and helpful.
Poor. I booked a room for my wife and I plus 11 year old son, online. I then emailed to ask that a cot be added for my infant son, which you confirmed by email. On arrival in the early hours with tired children I was told my email confirmation was irrelevant, only three people could stay in the room and I was made to buy an additional room. Further I was told the area was unsuitable to leave my car on the street "Gangs of youths roam the area breaking into cars" So I had to buy parking! Nightmare!
I have stayed in this hotel many times in the last few years. Although it is not actually in Paris but the hotel is only a 3 minutes walk away from the bus station to one of the main squares of Paris (takes around 7 minutes to get there) and also few minutes walk from the RER B (which goes directly to CDG airport costing only 12 euros). This branch has a nice restaurant and a bar with a good sitting area. Its price used to be really good but unfortunately they have increased the rate recently.
Although this hotel is a bit far out in Zone 2 outside of Central Paris, it is easily accessible to Central Paris by RER train. The RER B also links Paris Orly and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the Gentilly RER station, It is however also a 10 minutes walk to the tram stop, which you can save transport money as it is on Zone 1. Then it is one train stop either way to Cite Universite RER station or Poste d'Italie metro station. All in Zone 1 tariff. Gentilly has a small and safe French town feel with a number of eateries. The supermarket is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It is a good hotel to stay to avoid the Paris crowds and easy acessible to Orly Airport. However if you want happenings and things to do, this hotel may be your choice of location.
Hotel was ok but rooms were too warm and temperature adjustment did not seem to work. Reception staff were quite cold on arrival and restaurant staff and management were not pleasant at all. On first night we gave it a try eating there and were served very poor quality food and dismissed through all the meal. No one came back to ask about desert and coffee and we could see we were just expected to hurry and leave. Got really upset and even worst with poor skills from Restaurant management. Fortunately the prompt reaction of the reception manager, saved the rest of the stay as he dealt with it the way others should have done. Fair play on reception staff and management but the rest leaves a bit to desire. Have been staying on a few Ibis over the years and all over Europe and did not think i could have this kind of experience on a hotel of this chain.
Nice hotel, everything was fine, except telephone calls due to some technical problems. Very good laundry service : my shirts were folded despite I had not asked for this. The staff is very friendly . especially I liked very much the receptionist Lucas. He was quick and professional!!!!!!
