Really comfortable beds. Fantastic shower cubicle. Quite. Great value. Only a two minute walk to the central shopping area. Parking in this hotel is worth the money for its safe location and closeness to the hotel entrance. Definite value for money.
With IBIS you know what you get, and that is what I like, no bad surprises. Nice (but a bit small) room, very good bed, all extremely clean and well made. I only missed a hot water kettle (found sometimes at hotels at this rate). The personel at the lobby was so nice, that you almost felt at home.
Reception staff were excellent. Room was very good but when we entered the bathroom there was a smell of sewerage. The problem was removed with a perfumed spray but still returned. There is a need for long term solution.
We have stayed in Boulogne on several occasions. We visit to stock up on wine and have a night or two out as there are some nice restaurants in Boulogne. The hotel was value for money. The hotel has been refurbished since we last stayed. Would stay again
A very friendly easy to find hotel. All the staff go out of there way to be helpful. All the rooms have been update over the last year, and the reception area and bar are being done at the moment. The rooms are all nice and clean and fresh. They are on the small side compared to a Premier and could do with a kettle etc. The baths have been removed and there is now a shower which in my view is a vast improvement. The only down side is the bathroom lighting(take a LED torch). Also the hair dryer is really ineffectual. The a/c at times does not appear to work, but it may be switched of for the winter. If you select an odd numbered room you will be at the front of the hotel, which if you have the window open can be quite noisy. The even numbered rooms at the rear overlook Carrefours car park and then further views to the old town roofs. A very pricey hotel for what you get.
A comfortable, clean and basic hotel, which has been recently refurbished. It is in a central location and is in a good position for visiting the town as well as being close to the Eurotunnel station. Easy parking. Helpful staff.
Excellent breakfast despite refurbishment being in process. Room on 3rd floor very nice seemingly recently refurbished with roomy shower though bathroom lighting was a little too subdued. Very useful to have underground carpark as on our way back to Calais for return home.
Efficient and quick check-in. Good standard of room. clean and tidy, excellent comfortable bed with clean toilets and excellent shower. The situation of this hotel backing on to a shopping mall with direct access is very convenient. There is also ample secure parking under cover.
We were leaving the next day from the Eurotunnel and thought we would like a change of scene. However we were very disappointed with the quality as it is not 3 stars at all .The garage was dimly lit and we were lucky to get a space. The pedestrian exit was difficult to open and close because of the weight. It could have injured someone as the closing mechanism was too vicious. At then entrance were loose floor tiles that we almost tripped over as at least half were broken The room was smaller than average The staff were as friendly as usual and were very polite I would never recommend this at all to friends and never stay there myself.
hotel very good. breakfast and evening meal were excellent. only moan was that we had to ask for extra towels, two small towels for two adults was not enough. apart from that no other gripes. bed was comfortable, room was spacious.
Easy to find on the port side road, attached to a supermarket. Adequate room, non-effective air-conditioning (on a busy road, so a fair bit of road noise if windows left open), no English language channels on TV.
Was starting to look a bit tired last time I stayed here in October 2016. Now much nicer following refurbishment. Well placed for port and lower town restaurants, but a bit of a hike to the old town. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Nice welcoming hotel with a good bar and in walking distance to restaurants and the main town. Nice staff who speak English and room, as always in the Ibis, was comfortable and quiet. Would stay here again.
We've stayed at this hotel a few times and can't fault it, the staff are very pleasant and helpful , the meals in the restaurant are well priced and of good quality, the rooms are clean and well maintained, the location is excellent for a stroll along the river and down to the sea front or even up through town to the castle. The outside and surrounding area's are a little rundown but if you look past this you'll find a absolutely excellent budget hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning there very soon.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was a bit basic but ok for the price we paid. The underground car park was a deciding point on our choice of accommodation. We thorough enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
Ok for one night, very clean and warm. Could do with a refurbishment, very worn and tatty. Price and parking good. Staff very friendly and helpful as always. Close to restaurants, shops & bars. Great place Boulanger.
Good hotel for a stopover. Excellent, secure parking. Good breakfast. Perhaps the bathroom could do with an upgrade. Comfortable beds. Easy to use room thermostat. Quiet rooms, so easy to sleep. Good range of channels on the TV.
Hotel staff friendly and helpful and hotel clean and comfortable. Breakfast good but dinner menu limited. Lift does not go down to the car park so you have to carry luggage up several steps up to the hotel. Hotel exterior a bit drab.
Stayed for two nights to explore various forts along the coast, and Agincourt battlefield. Hotel is an excellent base. Well located to explore the town and walk up the hill to the old town for dinner. Clean; friendly reception staff who spoke good English; quiet at night. Breakfast was good quality. Only drawbacks were that the twin room was small and there is no tea/coffee facilities in room. Also, if you overshoot the hotel if arriving by car, turning around to get back to the hotel is a nightmare and can take two miles or more - the far side of the river is a rabbit warren of confusing one way streets close to the river bank and old ferry port.
We did experience one or two problems during our stay. First, the bed was 2 single beds pushed together and not as comfortable as it could have been. Second, the hair dryer in the room was coming away from the wall. The corridors smelled strongly of cigarette smoke,in the mornings. At breakfast the window sills had quite a few dead flies/mosquitos which was off putting. The small outside access door to the underground parking did not lock at night ,the bar code reader was working, but the electronic lock did not operate leaving my vehicle vulnerable overnight. This was the same over all 3 nights. More variety at breakfast would be appreciated. No variety of draught beer in the bar. We stay at these hotels now as opposed to some of the budget motels ,most Accor hotels are very good but this one can only be described as average at best.
