Always very friendly reception, large rooms, excellent bed comfort and modern bathroom. The restaurant is not open on Sundays, but we will dine here on our way back next week. Easy off street parking. Excellent location.
We found the staff helpful and friendly and the room was a good size and clean we asked for secure parking which was no problem inside the gate. With the been in the centre we could walk to the get food as we arrived late.
The Ibis in Mount Isa is in the process of renovation and we were allocated a renovated room which was both spacious and clean. My only concern was the a/c which struggled to maintain temperature. Good restaurant and friendlay, attentive staff made this an enjoyable stay.
Stayed for two nights had a great room, lots of space, small balcony but the views were terrific overlooking the huge stacks and mining operations, great location right in town, breakfast lovely but minimal, staff helpful, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Central location in town, great staff, great meals and terrific room and bed with a bathtub. As always the staff are very friendly and helpful, check in and out is easy and quick and staff always ask if you need any help with anything.
This was our 2nd visit. Once again, we were allocated a superb room on level 3 (4 star) The bedding was again most comfortable (Accor standard). We enjoyed the continental breakfast and the welcome drink. ( a glass of premium red wine) Check in & out was again swift and very courteous, very important after a 1100km drive. Rolf
Another overnight stay in Mt. Isa that was made all the better by the lovely staff at the hotel makes it a pleasure to make this location a regular stop. Accommodation was good and the dining experience quite yummy. Definitely recommend for your next stay as well.
Nice early 1980s /1970s retro look of hotel Rooms of simple furniture, it reminds me of William Eggleston photos of hotel rooms. My big tip is if you are on Level 3 , go onto the hallway, there is a doorway at the end of the hallway to outside, there is a balcony , go outside onto the balcony, and walk around to the western side of the hotel, you will have the best view of the Mt isa mines
Mt Isa Verona is a must stop whenever we are in the area, other regional hotels should take note from this hotel to see how it is done, great rooms, great bathrooms, clean and well designed and decorated. We know we are not in Paris or London but it can still be well appointed as is this hotel.
The staff arranged taxi pick-up from Coach Terminal (dark, closed and uninformative) upon my delayed arrival at Mt Isa. Very much appreciated. Room large and clean. A hearty breakfast meant a good start to the day.
As members of Accor we frequent their hotels where ever available....this hotel is rather old and tired but the staff made up for everything... The rooms were clean and comfortable...bathrooms excellent not forgetting a comfy bed...the dining room was very busy with great food and wine..all in all a great stopover on our way to Darwin
Booking was super easy, check in and check was much the same. Good service, good accommodations and definitely will be staying there for my subsequent trips. Staff always helpful and there to assist w/ what's needed.
Loved how big the room was, it was huge and liked there was a balcony. Was good being located in the middle of Town access to everything. The staff at front desk were lovely and helpful. Would stay there again.
Bed was comfortable, air con was fantastic. Great that it included breakfast. Bathroom was awful, ceiling falling in, gaps between walls, old tiles looking grubby. The shower!!! OMG. Ibis Mt Isa definitely needs updating.
I was here for work and stayed five nights. Overall the service and staff were fantastic. Steph in the restaurant was amazing every night ensuring I had a table for dinner. There were only two staff serving the bar, restaurant and delivering room service yet no one was left hanging. I'd definitely stay here again.
This Hotel is situated right in the centre of the city and appears to have been recently renovated. The décor is very nice , the staff lovely & helpful. There is some off street parking , the room was a standard room with a roomy en-suite and the usual amenities available in the room. The restaurant is open for a basic breakfast & dinner with a room service menu. The pool looked very inviting, free bottles of water, newspapers, wifi etc were offered and we enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again if we ever get back to Mt Isa
We had an Executive room on level 3, large, clean and tidy. Small mini bar fridge, no freezer. There was only one chair in the room however receptionist was happy to bring up another when requested. Had a nice meal in the restaurant one evening. Continental breakfast was more than adequate. Negatives: Rooms are not sound proof. Could hear the people next door laughing and talking during the night, Saturday - no housekeeping or restaurant for evening meal - was not advised of this on arrival however when we queried late in the afternoon, reception staff again came to the rescue with fresh towels etc.
Stayed for 3 nights Fri - Mon, the Hotels furnishings and decor were a little dated and worst of all the room was not serviced throughout our whole stay. Staff told us that this was the Hotels policy and they would pass on our complaint to management, but frankly this did not help.
Checked, no problem, interest code did not work, I tried Several times and took my laptop to reception and they could not get it to work either, I had you use my persona hot spot on my phone. No make up of rooms on weekend. Restaurant closed for a private function on Satarday night. I prepaid my room but had problems getting my invoice, I will not prepay my room next time.
Nice motel however limited parking and some initial confusion with how to open the fridge. A lot of noise created by the air conditioning and lack of suitable case trolley however apart from that it was a very nice room
