A bi from the centre of Linz but easy reached by tram or car. A supermarket not to far away. A nice pool and garden area. If you are sensitive to the sound of cars or car fuemes this might not be a good choice for you since the hotel is situated between main roads. The hotel is bright an colourful and the staff is helpful and friendly.
We stayed for three nights at the Ibis Syles in Linz as a family of four. The room was nice with modern décor and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast, However, there was a large group staying in the hotel on Saturday night making a noise both during the night and early in the morning. The noise carried and the staff didn't seem to be quietening them down, leading to a very sleepless night.
We stayed in this hotel before and is an average hotel with an excellent staff. Rooms they need updating. Breakfast is good, staff is led by someone who is able to motived them as they all looked keen and ready to help if asked anything. The girl at the reception got us a map of town, explained local attractions, she advised against using our own car but suggested public transport instead and even went that far to circle places on the map for us to visit and tram lines even where to change from lines1 and 2 to line 50. Average hotel where staff makes the whole difference. Only negative thing was that both our bed sheets for both rooms had staines it didn't look appealing to spend night in them but as we arrived late we had no choice. I mentioned this tomorrow morning and it was all sorted by front desk new sheets on bed upon our return from town and even complimentary drinks from hotel bar. We stayed another night and really enjoyed town and museums.
The hotel is very nice : very good rooms, good common areas like restaurant. The service is very good. It would have been nice if the bar and the restaurant are open little late in the night. But over all we are very satisfied with our stay here.
Room was very noisy. One side of the bed made also a lot noise. Room was renovated but some parts were stiil outdated (bath/shower, desk). Staff was very friendly, Proper restaurant. Nice entrance hall.
Private parking, good localisation, friendly staff, comfortable rooms...what else ? The breakfast is better that what you find normally in an Ibis hotel. Eventually a largest offer for dinner menu will be welcome...
Positive : Restaurant staff and quality of food and drinks, Breakfast was also rich and tasty. Parking next to the building. Spacious and clean rooms. Good wifi. Negative : Sleeping quality as I got the room just next to the elevator and overlooking the busy motorway. When I mentioned this to the reception in the morning I was told that I should have requested room away from the elevator when I booked the room. I thought for platinum members they should give usually the quiet rooms somehow automatically...
This hotel is a budget hotel with absolutely no frills. The good points are that each room has a king size bed, a TV, free wi-fi and breakfast included. The bad points are that the room has no carpet (vinyl flooring), no curtains (blinds only), no air conditioning (electric fan), and no toiletries in the bathroom. In my room the pipe rattled every time I turned off the cold tap and the toilet didn't flush properly. In short a bit like Fawlty Towers (a nightmare).
Well situated at the entry of Linz, good connections (TRAM) to the City-Center. Free parking, Kind and helpful staff, Rooms ok, One point, the breakfastbuffet could have been refilled more quickly. I can recommend this hotel for an overnight stop.
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the last 5 years (before was a Novotel) and I can certify that the quality of services is declining. Several problems encountered during my last visit: - Bad cleaning - there was a urine stain on the toilet seat! - The towels had a strange smell - A wet cleaning cloth was left in the room, near the safe, which was not working, anyway - The room temperature was below 20 degr. Celsius, with no possibility to control it.
This hotel offers everything you expect for a short stay, except maybe a fitness room. It is conveniently located close to the motorway exit and easy to find but on the other hand the city center and its restaurants are not at walking distance, c. 2 km but parking is much easier and free.
Rooms facing main road can be a bit noisy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Reasonable evening buffet. Excellent internet Located close to motorway which is very handy for the Linz ChemiePark industrial zone. Outdoor swimming pool is a bit of a bonus for Ibis hotels. Hotel also has tennis courts and a sauna. Negative points are a lack of safety awareness around the pool - drinks in glass not plastic and window blinds do not give a dark room
nice hotel for quite a good price, with good breakfast, polite and smiled staff free, fast internet and free parking. only disadvantages may be location (few km from city centre) and age of some things in rooms
Hotel has an easy access from the highway but also a quite setting. Room facillities are excellent - very clean, comfortable bed, ... Breakfast is excellent - many producst are available including a warm meals. Easy to park and no extra charge applies.
The hotel is not ideal for those people looking for smoewhere close to the city centre but if you are travelling through then it is close to the motorway and easy to get to. The hotel has a very modern design and the rooms are suprisingly spacious for an Ibis. I ate and the restaurant and found the food to be good and value for money. Staff were very friendly.
Not the best place to stay when staying for a few days in Linz. The old building has been renovated with a minimal budget. 1 small elevator, cold water, a lot of noise, a restaurant with minimal choice. Next time in Linz I will stay at a different place.
The hotel is very nice, the breakfast was super and included in price, the room is specious, the staff is very friendly. The hotel is absolute kid and dog friendly. There is a kid corner in the lobby, so parents can have their breakfast or a drink calm while the kid is playing. OUr room was too warm for sleeping and there is no individual possibility to change it. The bed is very comfortable. Nice designelements, for a chain it is a good concept hotel, but of course it is not a "real" design hotel. As always the high standards of Ibis applies for this hotel as well. Nice and clean. And also free wifi :-)
HOTEL: nice , friendly staff, very good breakfast, room: clean, spacious, BUT NO possibility to get some HEAT, extra blanket available :) all in all: very good, I recommend it for families or couples.
