A good pit stop after getting off the ferry in St Malo and before joining the Le Mans autoroute but signage off the roundabout is poor, especially in the dark. Handy having a Courte Paille restaurant next door
Used this Ibis as a stop over regularly for trips too and from house in SW France.Revamped in the past and now a well run and presented Ibis. New beds installed with bedding which results in a good nights sleep. Next door is a Courtepaille Restaurant, which results in a complete package with a good range of food. Just need to know where I can obtain 2 kingsized beds and bedding from for my French house!
The hotel is very practical and the price correct, but you nee a car to get there. The rooms are small but sufficiently large for an overnight stay. The bathroom is well thought out. The location is quiet for a good night's sleep. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is complete and good but charged extra. Good overall value
Have used this Ibis on many occasions - recent revamp has improved image immensely. Added benefit of a Courtpaille restaurant next door for a good evening meal. Rooms adequate although a bit cramped, compared with more modern Ibis hotels. Usual buffet breakfast, and there is a restricted food facility in the evenings.
The new reception has been a vast improvement - light, airy and a great new breakfast area, with a more substantial value for money breakfast meal - including boiled eggs! Rooms the same comfort. Only problem is inconsiderate guests slamming doors in the early hours and on early morning starts - need 'soft close' door system installing.
We stayed one night on our way down throuigh France. We could not fault the hotel at all - room, parking, location etc. However even though we had booked a double room with a double bed the porter insisted we had a twin room as we were two men. This is something we hadn't experienced since the 1980s! We mentioned it the next morning but the staff didn't seem think it important.
Only an hours run from St Malo and within reach of a number of hypermarkets and ikea a good shopping trip for xmas. Hotel clean and beds comfortable staff very helpful and good value as a weekend package
We stayed for two nights and we found the staff to be very friendly. The location wasn't inspiring but there was a shopping center nearby and we got to our destination very easily without having to navigate the town. The first night we put out a do not disturb sign and the cleaning service woke us by knocking on our door the next morning. I complained and was given an apology and it didn't happen again. It wasn't soundproofed so could hear next door snoring the first night. We would stay a night there again.
Ideally situated with easy access from the Rocade at Rennes. No restaurant but there is a Courtpaille next door which was very acceptable. Staff were polite and facilities were in keeping with what you would expect from Ibis Only negative would be the room we had was quite small
This hotel is a little gem-beside a restaurant and the hotel gave me a 10% voucher reduction for a good meal. Loved the place! near the motorway and the staff were excellent-hope to go back shortly. Would highly recommend it to any travelers.
