We had a pleasant stay in the IBIS Bordeaux de lac. The breakfast choices were very good and foodof good quality. The staff we also very helpful and had no problem storing our baggage when we arrived earlier than the check-in time
Very basic room but clean and perfect location. Breakfast was also ok. Service very friendly and helpfull. We have recommended to my brother. ANd for sure we will come back. Price was also perfect and we stay all in one room which made us very happy.
Very welcoming and friendly staff. This is the second time we have stayed here on our way to Spain and would definitely stay here again and again and again. Location was great for getting into centre of Bordeaux via local transport.
Had a standard room with sofa, very spacious, spotlessly clean. Secure free carparking and free internet. Tram stop minutes away, 4 euros 90 a day for unlimited travel, so you can see most of t he sites without having to drive.
This hotel is in a complex of 5 Accor hotels. It is the second grade of the chain and for 2 or 2 nights offers all that you could want at a far lower price the others (apart from Ibis Budget,) Also has an attached Camponile restaurant which will charge to your room. Also the car park is secure and free of charge. Very large room for Ibis and spotless. Staff cheerful and helpful. Compaired to my last stay in Le Lac at the Pullman this hotel is by far and away better.
Compared to other Ibis rooms that I have stayed in (& I've stayed in quite a few) this was the Best! Spacious, big bathroom, comfortable bed & the receptionist was very helpful. Breakfast was as usual (the best was in Ibis Styles in London). Unfortunately, it's "tied" to the restaurant "Courtepaille" which I found expensive for tasteless food.
Stayed here on our way to northern Spain. The hotel itself was easy to find using satnav. Hotel is very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean and the breakfast was good. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and the price was very good and the food excellant. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the hotel.
Excellent location near lake. Only a few minutes walk to tram into central Bordeaux, a wonderful city. Main purpose of stay was to be near the football ground for a Euro QF. I know demand was very high but the price charged for the night of the match was pure profiteering. The Sunday night was back to more normal values. Hotel has a Courtepaiile restaurant. Overall enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return when no events are being held.
Compared to other hotels we experienced in France, this one gave the least value for the money, by far. It had the location we required near the conference center and the mid-range price we could afford, so we chose it. The area is downright ugly compared to the beautiful city of Bordeaux. There were no amenities at all, not even tissues. One towel per person, no hand towel or wash cloth. Don't even think about a minifridge. We tried to borrow an iron, but they were all "out". Our room was large for France, but who cares when it is empty. But bedding was more like other hotels, just fine. They did have friendly, helpful staff, thankfully. The restaurant on site provided good food at a more reasonable price than the hotel itself.
We've stayed at this hotel regularly on our trips to the south of Spain as it fulfills all our requirements - dog friendly, excellent service, friendly staff, huge bright and modern rooms and a shower in the bathroom! Recently we stayed overnight in March on our journey down and then on our return trip in May and it was the first time we have had a room overlooking the lake which was perfect. Although this hotel is in a perfect location; just off the ring road, on both occasions we encountered awful traffic so it took much longer to get to there than planned so no time to take in the lovely surroundings or to visit Bordeaux centre on the tram which is located across the road from the hotel. We had dinner in the Courtpaille restaurant attached to the hotel which was good value. Breakfast very good too with lots of choice and very well presented. Overall this hotel is very good value for money and highly recommended.
We stayed overnight at this hotel recently on our trip to the south of Spain. We've stayed here many times in recent years as it fulfills our requirements in every way! Perfect location just off the motorway, extremely clean and modern hotel. Rooms are huge with a large bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We ate in the Courtpaille restaurant which is attached to the hotel. Service was excellent and food very good too. Great choice at breakfast too! Hotel staff are very efficient, friendly and helpful - when booking on line we requested a room on an upper level and were allocated a lovely room on the top floor. Overall, excellent value for money. We're looking forward to our next stay in January on our return trip to the UK.
Very good hotel close to the Lac area of Bordeaux. Excellent choice if you are in Bordeaux for the Fairs or to watch a football match at the marvellous Nouveau Stade. For the centre, it is only 10 mins by Bordeaux's efficient tram which takes you directly to Place des Quinconces or Place de la Bourse. Breakfast was excellent with a lot to choose from including a delicious gateau Basque. Rooms were clean and spacious. Excellent value for money and will surely return.
On our way to the south we booked many times IBIS Bordeaux le Lac, very good services and excellent beds. For a trip to Bordeaux also a good place to stay, if you are with a car. Bar and restaurant in the hotel and nearby
We were looking forward to this stop as we had done it before and enjoyed the food very much. This time the restuarant was the best bit. The room was freezeing, we had to leave the heating on all night just to stop our teeth from chattering. The problem is if no one is in the room the heating appears not to work!, the window has a vent in it the size of a dustbin with no way of closing it. So it was a constant battle for the heating to keep up with the icey air entering through the vent!!!!!
We have stayed at this hotel many times on our frequent trips to Spain and always comment that it is one of the best hotels we have stayed in on our trips through France. Location perfect - just off the motorway, secure parking, nice restaurant attached to the hotel, very clean and spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff! On this occasion we were allocated a room on the ground floor and unfortunately the people above us were very noisy at night and also early in the morning! This was the only negative during our stay and we will ensure when we return at some point in the future that we request a room on an upper level! We thought the tram to Bordeaux would be up and running as it is just across the road from the hotel but it wasn't, however with guidance from the reception staff we took the bus and the tram which was very easy and well worth the trip as Bordeaux is a lovely place to visit.
Nice hotel in nice location. Easy to find. Pleasant rooms, with comfy bed. Lovely continental breakfast (though a little expensive), Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is "fast food" style, but everything is well cooked and ssrvice is good.
On returning at midnight I was told the bar was closed! Not impressed by the overall service, shall probably look to stay some place else next time in Bordeaux. On checking out in the morning, the girl didn't know the price and wanted more, until a senior member corrected her when I complained.
We stayed in this hotel on our way to the South of Spain earlier in the year and vowed to return on our next trip, which we did. Although we only stayed one night, everything was perfect. Reception staff are extremely helpful and friendly, rooms are huge and spotlessly clean, parking is very secure and the location is perfect; just off the motorway and by a huge lake. Also had a meal in the restaurant attached to the hotel which was very good value. Unfortunately, we are unable to stay on our return trip due to the timing of our crossing from Calais but we will definitely stay again in the future as this hotel is perfect for us and our dog!
This is one of the best Ibis hotels we have stayed in in France and we have stayed in quite a few on our drive down to the south of Spain twice a year over the previous 6 years. The service in this hotel is excellent and the room we had was huge with a nice big modern bathroom. Secure parking and an ideal location just off the motorway make it the perfect stopover. The Courtpaille restaurant, which is attached to the hotel, served good and very reasonably priced food and drink with a good menu choice. Service in the restaurant was excellent too! We will definitely be returning on our next journey down to Spain and also on our return trip!
The hotel Ibis is perfectly located on a lake with wonderful view. The tram will soon come as far as the hotel but for now a quick bus ride to the nearest tram stop works quite well. Once again, Ibis is a treasure - excellent value and never spoken in travel mags.
