We stayed one night and had a large comfortable room overlooking trees in the garden. The restaurant is newly refurbished and the service excellent. In fact the kind friendly service of all the hotel's young staff is excellent.
Perfect for a business trip Feel welcome Kindness of the team, focused on the guest satisfaction. Lot of facilities. Good idea: the pad a the bar to choose music on Deezer. A very good destination, at the right price
We have stayed at Woippy on several occasions and always been satisfied during comfortable. It is in an excellent position adjacent to motorway and close to parks do ride to Metz. Food. Is good and service excellent
Comfortable Clean and superb overnight stay. Good food friendly staff and convenient with ample free parking. Food in the restaurant and breakfast worth the money.+ another 28 characters to register our recommendation.
Over the years we have stopped a number of times in this particular Ibis as suitably positioned as a stop over on the way to the south. However, in our experience, the time has come for the hotel to undergo some urgent refurbishment as very dated and in need of upgrade in both the communal areas and bedrooms. We would certainly suggest renovating the bathrooms without delay.
A thoroughly pleasant overnight stay. Our room overlooked the hotel grounds and beyond woodland and a recreation area, which was a pleasure after the business of the motorway, which is very close but not obtrusive. The Bathroom has not yet been upgraded to have a walk-in shower. The staff were helpful and the restaurant satisfactory.
The hotel is in a pleasant location with pretty gardens which are well maintained and very good on site parking which is free. The main public areas are very pleasant but some attention is needed to the soft furnishings in the lounge/bar area as they are looking worse for wear. The bedroom was excellent, really spacious and comfortable but our bathroom was very much in need of renovation and the toilet was very difficult to flush. The public area toilets are also very tatty and need renovation. The food here is very good and the staff are pleasant, welcoming and very friendly.
Lovely budget hotel. Immaculate appearance, nice room and decent restaurant for dinner and breakfast. This was a stop over on a longer trip and we were suitably rested for the remainder of the drive. Recommended.
There were 8 of us and we stayed with you twice in a week at ibis Metz Nord. The first night was fine with no issues. As our party consisted of both English and Welsh gentlemen we were keen to be able to watch the Rugby World Cup and were advised during our first stay (Tuesday 6th Oct) that upon our return on the Saturday 10th we would be able to watch both the Welsh and English RWC matches due that afternoon in the bar of the hotel. Based on this we arranged our departure from Soll in Austria to coincide with arriving in time to watch the matches in your hotel, a journey of over 600km. We checked in and settled down however the staff had the sound turned right down and told us it was a problem with the channel so we watched the first game in silence. When the second game was due to start we were told it was not available however a more junior member of staff found the channel and put it on the screen and miraculously managed to turn the sound up for us. It was at this point that a man in a suit, we later were told was the manager, removed the subscription card from the digi box behind the bar and disappeared into his office leaving us unable to watch the game. We were not told why he did this and he left his junior staff to deal with our protestations. We were confused and upset as to why he had done this and given no prior reason or warning. Given we arranged our whole itinerary to arrive at ibis Metz Nord in able to watch the matches and left with no other choice when the card was removed we are very disappointed at the appalling behaviour of this manager which frankly was arrogance and rudeness at its worst. To make matters worse 4 of our party suffered significant numbers of flea bites that evening and we can only put this down to the fact that dogs are allowed to stay in the hotel and pest control is not carried out. Our party is planning our next European driving holiday and we are giving serious consideration to not using ibis hotels again.
The hotel is well located just off the motorway with secure parking which is really handy when travelling with equipment. The welcome was very friendly and reception spoke really good English (much better than my pigeon French. The bedrooms are quite large compared to other Ibis hotels and as always the room was clean. The bar area is very relaxing and open 24hrs. The downside was the food in the restaurant, everything was overcooked and dry which was very disappointing as I'd eaten here before and it was lovely. I think next time I stay I will probably look for somewhere else to eat. Opposite the hotel there is a large supermarket with petrol station which was all well priced for supplies to carry on the journey.
Recently stayed at the Ibis Metz Nord en-route to a holiday in Italy, have stayed at Ibis hotels before and always like the hotels as they are usually near the motorway network so are good value when driving especially when abroad. This hotel was no exception overall very pleased with the standard of service and room was clean, as with all Ibis hotels the bed was very comfy. Overall would recommend this hotel
It looked like the room and bathroom had undergone some updating but more needs to be done to bring it up to the standard of other ibis I have stayed in. Water for the shower only stayed hot for a couple of minutes meaning only a short shower was possible. Breakfast somewhat spoiled by a coach party who commandeered the entire dining area between 6:30 am and 8:00 am - not good when I needed an early start. Plus points: Staff were friendly and welcoming and spoke good English; the large free car park with good security.
The hotel needs a revamp .Hotel staff are great but one of the restaurant waitresses needs to be shown how to look after customers and not swipe your plate from under you while you are still eating .I have contacted them via email, but they only allow 2000 characters on the form, and unfortunately I need more to put forward my complaint .As with most things now days you either have to send an email that never gets a reply or you have to contact them at your expense. It is good value for money but it needs lots of work to bring it up to standard
This was a 2 night break on a long journey with a Metz city visit. The hotel was clean an comfortable but do hate showers in baths. The breakfasts were a little disappointing but over all with call here again if passing on a long journey.
Both outward and inward stays at this hotel were okay but meals were not up to standard expected. Very plain and uninteresting menus especially when compared to a Campanile breakfast assortment. Evening meals could be more varied.
Basic but clean hotel. Rooms are very simpel, no minibar. The bed is great though. Breakfast and service ok. Hotel is close to the busterminal, you pay 2,80 Euro to go to the center of Metz. Price/quality ok!
This was an overnight stop for us. Reception staff were welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The room contained a sofa bed w hich converted to a comfortable third bed. The meal in the restaurant was good value for money as was the buffet breakfast. All staff were helpful and friendly.
Ibis easily accessible from motorways, 3 story building with lift, large, clean room and good Wifi. Close to Line A park & ride for downtown Metz access. Breakfast buffer a little skimpy and not always well stocked.
We stayed one night. The hotel is easy to find, has a nice big lawn inside the fence and nice green surroundings. The bed was good and the duvet was big. Overall, we are satisfied, and could come again. The restaurant provides outside seatings. We find the breakfast buffet overpriced at 9,5€ per person. However, the breakfast is optional.
Potentially this Hotel could be a very pleasant stopover but it falls short due to a lack of hospitality from the front of house. The rooms are clean and comfortable as you would expect at an Ibis hotel, the restaurant is charming and the service here is very good as is the food
