The hotel is situated in the commercial district, where there are plenty of places to eat close to the hotel. I stayed with my daughter and her two children, one aged 2 and the other 11 weeks. When I booked I asked for a family room and on arrival was told that we couldn't have 4 people in the room and that we needed to book a second room for the children!!! There was no way we would have put the children in a second room at their ages. They also tried to charge us for 4 breakfasts! The staff weren't very friendly. We booked this hotel because other family members were staying there as part of a London to Paris bike ride. The staff were obviously busy with the extra 150 odd cyclists but perhaps more staff should have been on duty.
My family and I stayed here overnight as we were on a two day trip from Germany to northern France. The hotel was a nice mid level hotel with a very friendly staff and clean and comfortable rooms. We arrived late and left early so we were not able to use the restaurant, but the lobby and restaurant appeared up to date and modern.
This is a very attractive and comfortable hotel. The rooms are welcoming and well appointed. the staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant offers good quality food. In all, and excellent experience
The staff were really friendly and welcomed us, probably because they had very little else to do it was rather quiet. A quaint historic town a stones throw from the northern edge of Paris and just off the Autoroute. The corridor carpet needed a Rug Doctor but the air conditioning saved the day. We had a very comfortable nights sleep and were almost last to breakfast as we slept so well without interruptions - See Mercure Liseaux . . .
Directions to the hotel were well signposted. Parking was secure and plentiful. Check in was both efficient and friendy, ensuring that we were happy with the location of our room. The room was spacious, but not too large, with a king sized bed, which was most comfortable. There was a safe, big enough for a laptop, a minibar, TV (with not all of the advertised channels available, which was not important for us). Unfortunately Mercure have gone down the company line (Accor) of providing cheap plastic "glasses" in plastic sealed bag, which too often are split before we get to the room because they are so brittle. The bathroom/w.c had a bath with a shower above and the usual handy toiletries. We took a meal, steak and chips, which was most enjoyable. However there were no vegetables or salad offered. We found the cost of drinks to be on the high side, maybe because of its location close to Paris. We were not required to sign our bills either in the restaurant or the bar, which I would have preferred. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again, as it was a convenient, secure comfortable and above all the staff treated you as valued customers. The few niggles were minor, perhaps we are looking for perfection.
