Casinos in Birmingham

If you fancy a flutter or a night out with a difference, Birmingham’s casino will hit the jackpot
The UK’s second biggest city has plenty of choice when it comes to casinos. The internationally famous Malaysian Genting chain has three casinos in Birmingham alone, while the UK chain Grosvenor has two, and there are many other options besides. If you’re looking to hit the card tables, play some roulette or you just want somewhere a little different for drinks and dinner, you’re sure to find a convenient casino in the capital of the West Midlands.

Genting Casino Birmingham 1 Norfolk Road
This mid-sized casino is located in Birmingham’s Edgbaston district, just over two miles from New Street station and around 12 miles from the airport. It’s open daily from 2pm to 4am and games include six American roulette tables, one three-card poker table, 14 electronic roulette machines, two Texas Hold ‘Em tables and three blackjack tables. It’s also home to the Fahrenheit Bar and Grill where you can stop for dinner or drinks. Parking is plentiful and the casino offers a party package including a three-course meal, tutorials in the games and a £10 bet. You’ll need to register as a member before visiting, which you can do online. New members need to bring photo ID on their first visit. There are two other Genting casinos in the city, one in Chinatown and one in Star City, which is the only one of the three that hosts poker tournaments.

Grosvenor Casino Birmingham Broad Street Fiveways Leisure Complex
The Birmingham Broad Street Casino is a modern, well-equipped casino from one of the UK’s most popular casino brands, located in one of Birmingham’s buzziest areas. It’s open 24 hours a day and offers roulette, blackjack and poker as well as slot machines with £20,000 jackpots. It also has a wide range of big screens for showing football matches and pay-per-view UFC and boxing matches.

Grosvenor Casino Hill Street 84 Hill Street
Grosvenor opened a second Birmingham casino in 2012 on the site of the former Gala Casino on Hill Street. After extensive refurbishments, this has quickly established itself as one of the best casinos in the West Midlands, offering blackjack, roulette and poker. Its 150-seat poker room also boasts a private room, which has hosted high profile professional poker tournaments. Poker tournaments are held daily, with monthly special events advertised in advance online. There’s also a grill restaurant, bar and smoking terrace.

Broadway Casino 1-4 Broadway Plaza
Situated in a listed building in the heart of Birmingham, Broadway is the largest casino in the city and the most popular independent casino. It’s a part of the Broadway leisure complex, which also consists of a bowling alley, multiplex cinema and several chain restaurants. The casino provides the usual range of games – including roulette and blackjack – but its main claim to fame is as one of the best poker destinations outside of London. The poker room can hold 120 players and hosts nightly tournaments. The feel is that of a major American casino and the restaurant is a cut above most others of its ilk.
