Tried the on-line check-in from home, which was offered by the hotel, for the 1st time. The receptionist could not find it, so I had to fill in my details again. Only when asking for the city-tax, the receptionist realised that I had given allowance to charge my credit card beforhand. Got a room on 2nd floor towards the busy and noisy street. Room was behind a door leading towards 2 rooms. Room was just ok in size with a small table at window front and a spacious bathroom. Two good, broad beds. Enjoyed the free water and chocolate as I arrived late and was too tired to go out. Next morning I realised that you can buy drinks from the lobby bar all night. Continental breakfast was rather complete and of good quality, freshly baked mini-croissants and bread. Self service coffee-maker, juice fruits, joghurts.

You usually choose Ibis knowing exactly what you are going to get. Here however, we found a place largely above our expectations; the rooms, the comfort, the kindness of the staff, the funny and friendly decoration, made it an enjoyable experience and not just a boring, standardized place you stay in for a few nights. That being said, I don't eat much in the morning, so I cannot comment on the breakfast.

Welcoming staff, getting a breakfast is a plus in comparison with other hotels, but breakfast offer is pretty average. Wifi is unstable. A big spider net was hanging from the ceiling, otherwise clean room. The balcony door opens to a common corridor, so don´t leave the it open if you leave the room.

The bed was comfortable. The walls were a bit thin so I could hear other guests talking loudly or using the shower but fortunately not until too late in the evening. The internet was so slow in the evening that I was unable to work which was the main difficulty as I was travelling for business. The breakfast had a good selection.

If you want less expensive and not bad accommodation in this concrete area, the hotel is an option. Bed is OK, breakfast (for most room rates for extra fee) basic, wifi not so good in some rooms. Air con did not work properly, it was impossible to manage the temperature in my room.

This hotel belongs to the Ibis Styles family. In this case: all white: walls ceiling bathroom. A hospital room is more cosy than this. Just the bed is fine. Showering in the bath with no proper handlebars is not exactly convenient. The hotels looks heavily used end urgently needs painting and some new carpets in lifts and hall. Disappointing.

Apart from the fact the hotel was in a very good location, the rooms were clean and the staff friendly, I had accidentally booked 2 rooms. Even though the booking rules state that once booked the rooms cannot be cancelled, fortunately the manager of the hotel was kind enough to offer to refund the second room because it was obvious I had made a mistake, regardless of the rules. This kind of attitude speaks volumes about the hotel and it's staff.

The Good Lovely clean hotel with plenty of space. Stayed here 3 times now. A decent breakfast selection included in the price. And such low cost. Staff are really nice on the whole and helpful. The Bad: The lifts are really old and the stairwells are a dusty deathtrap, but really - does that matter? Coffee is absolutely awful, but its on tap 24/7 The Ugly: ACCOR hotels booking procedure! On this last booking I made a mistake and selected the wrong date (A week out). They were NOT interested in my troubles. Will NEVER use ACCOR again. BUT, IBIS saved the day as they very happily changed the date for me.

When booking I had to send several Messages to have it extended for an extra night, because the staff did not get my request properly. The room was 26 degrees celsius day and night. Airco did not work (btw to use airco in Brussels in May is idiot).

The rooms and in fact the whole hotel was far too hot and the air coditioning inadequate to make the rooms comfortable. Even with a window open the rooms did not cool down - and this was in May. The staff were fine, the breakfast was adquate. Do not stay here in summer!

In a good spot, had a good spread of food for breakfast with good spacious rooms. After you get used to the tiny quirky lifts they work fine. The staff were fantastic and we couldn't have asked for more with clean room.

i you need to be around ave. louise in Brussels - this is a great place to stay - price quality it's a good deal so don't hesitate to book there - you only need breakfast around there as there are plenty food places around

The lady who carried-out the check-in was not really nice and given that I had driven 5 hours straight, I expected a little smile. The food offered from the bar was not good at all. The iron in the room was broken and water was leaking from it. The TV was unplugged. Why would you do that if you know that a customer is coming?! All in all, I will never return to this hotel and I won't recommend it to anyone. I was once at an Ibis and though it was standard, the service was good and the room was decent and functional. But this one was clearly below my expectations.

Always had exceptional service at this Hotel, but the staff were quite unfriendly this visit. Apart from the cleaning & Kitchen staff who are always nice. Think the front of house staff could do better.

very nice and clean hotel. The only 'negative' thing that I can think of is the fact that the staff wasn't capable of answering us in Dutch, one of our main languages in Belgium. French and English is OK. Excellent beds!

After the great experience last time, when some problem with a booking was solved perfectly by the management, this stay was alo very good once more! Good value for money for both room and breakfast, and again very friendly and helpful staff!

Room was fine, everything clean and in order. Street noise almost not noticeable (on 7th floor), but the two elevators are somewhat overmatched. Bed was good. Only local TV, although that's not important. Service at reception was not very friendly but okay. My only real criticism is regarding the breakfast. The coffee machine did not work properly on both mornings, produced some weird liquid stuff, and no staff near to point that out. Also there was no water available, only articial juices, and the choice generally was limited. Quite a bad start into the day despite the otherwise solid hotel facilities that are good worth for the modest price.

clean, good value for money, close to tram and bus stops, 30 min walk from the European Parliament. Staff friendly, tea and coffee on the house, breakfast ok. Internet fast, TV worked all right. I liked it.

The temperature was terribly high in the rooms, making it difficult to sleep. When some of our female groupmembers asked the staff what to do about it, they said they should sleep with the door open. The location was near the University where we had to go, so this was good. The street did have prostitutes walking outside but this did not cause any issues at the time.

I would not stay at this hotel. Having arrived from London on a Sunday night, I woke up at 6:00AM to start getting ready for a busy business day, when I turned the shower on there was no water. I called the desk who said it takes 10 minutes to come through, I waited for 15 and still no water. After 30 minutes of trying to get back through to the desk I gave up, went unwashed for the day (not ideal) and moved to another hotel. Running water is a basic not a luxury.
