Easy location to catch a tram to the city centre. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help. Rooms was clean and tidy only downside was an odd smell from the drains but didn’t make my stay any less enjoyable. Good breakfast buffet on offer however it does have limited seating which is a pain sometimes. Overall great for a weekend stay in the city

Very good value for money and good base for exploring Amsterdam with the tram stop only being about 200m away. Rooms were cleaned everyday and were done very well. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast is very good value and caters from every taste

Great location to all attractions using number 4 tram. Efficient use of room space. We had room 205 and loved the balcony. All the staff were helpful. We just moved to the Hilton Double Tree and should have stayed put.

For us, ideally situated, far enough out of the City centre to avoid the hen & stag parties, but still only a 20 min walk from all the main sites. Room in very good order, reception very helpful & the breakfast excellent.

Clean, well managed. The staff was very friendly and eager to help and provide suggestions on what to do in Amsterdam. The rooms wer clean and in very good order. Given its proximity to the centre of the city and its attractions, much can be done by foot and7or Public Transit.

The overall experience at the hotel was great, the location is fantastic and the room was good size and clean. However I have some complains regarding the check-in experience. Although the room was paid, the taxes were due to be paid upon arrival, the receptionist told me it was 15.00€. after the stay I checked the invoice and to my surprise I found that the taxis were actually 14.76€, and although it is not a lot of money, it is MY money, and therefore MY choice to give those extra 0.24€ away. I find it very rude on the hotels side and I definitely would suggest that they check this behaviour. Moreover, I also had to request the complimentary drink included with my Silver card status, which apparently did not appear on the hotels reservation (although it did on my copy...) Appart from this I have to say the rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful, specially people in the breakfast.

This place is about 2 km from the main places in the city so we can walk to any place. Rooms are small, but clean. Staff is helpful. We had breakfast included, which was quite complete. We needed a parking that was available on site for 25 Euros/day; but we found a public parking located less than 0,5 km away at 10 Euros/day. We have stayed there 5 days.

I stayed this hotel in September 2015 and in July 2016. The reception staff are very kind and some of them remember me. The staff of the restaurant are also nice and I could enjoy nice breakfast every morning. I could enjoy my stay with impression of at-home.

The hotel is near a subway station and one of the lines of Tram that allows quick access to various places of Amsterdam without having to take a taxi. It also gives to go on foot for some Amsterdam attractions such as Heineken Experience, Van Gogh Museum and the Albert Cuyp market. The hotel is simple but comfortable.

Stayed from 20 Feb to 23 Feb 2016 with sister. There is a direct tram no.4 from Central Station to the hotel (stop at Stadhouderskade and walk for 3 mins). Requested for twin bed but was given double bed as it was not available on the first night. However they managed to move us to twin bed room the following day. Elevator was closed for renovation when we arrived so they had assisted to carry our luggage to the second floor. Good thing is that the new elevator is already open for service on the second day. Room is small but can still fit to open 2 big luggage at the same time. Room amenities are ok and clean, only toothbrush and toothpaste not provided. Typical English breakfast spread which is ok too. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. If you like to walk, the hotel is near to the Heineken Experience, Museumplein and Vondelpark, and from there you can walk down to the Canal Rings. Amsterdam is a great place to walk with many scenic views.

Elevator takes too much time to go up. Hotel is very far away from the center. Breakfast starts at 7:00 am, but they start making at 7:00 am. You have to wait them to cook everything. Go there 7:30. Shower in the room is very bad. It is old fashioned curtain model. I demanded a double bed, a week before. But they gave me a twin bed. I will never choose this property again.

The hotel has a good location near the central area, and very good transport links. Although clean enough, the room & bath are very small. The breakfast was on average level, quite enough as quantity, but not of sufficient deversity and quality.

It was the second time within 40 days that I chosen that hotel. I stayed for 3 days with my family and once again I was very satisfied by the politeness of the staff of the hotel, their professionalism, the service they provided to us. Although the location of the hotel is not so close to the city center all the other amenities satisfied us to the great extent. I recommend it with out doubt!!!!!

The hotel has a good location and is adjacent to a station of "tram - 4 line." Down the street from Heineken experience. It is 15 minutes walk from the square of clubs, bars and good restaurants. But if you want to walk to the center, walking only take 20-25 minutes. The decor is different, modern. The rooms are small, no fridge, but the reception has an automatic machine that can buy drinks and snacks 24 hours a day. The breakfast is fair and the staff very, very friendly and personable. No restaurant or bar. I really liked.

The staff of the hotel was very polite and did everything to satisfy our needs. Location of the hotel is 20 minute walk from the city center but you can use public transportation means like tram. Another option could be the rent of bicycle. I recommend it as a potential option for somebody who seeks for value for money stay.

The hotel is convenient, you get what you have paid for: thus no surprise ! The only drawback is that you don't have a nice view over Amsterdam. What we expect from a hotel is to have clean and confortable rooms, with no extra. That's what we get here and we were happy with our choice.

The hotel has an excellent location for discovering Amsterdam. The car can be parked at the Heinecken Experince car park which is a short walk away. We didn't use any public transportation as everything has been close. The hotel itsself is ok. Over the Easter weekend the prices were extraordinary high which did not match with the room and breakfast standards.

Cozy room, more spacious than I've expected from other reviewers. Great breakfast (all the essentials for a good, healthy breakfast). Very good services (the cleaning lady has changed the towels and the linens every day and vacuumed every day plus the people at the receptions have been very kind to help us with any kind of request). Extremely well-positioned, really next to the tram stop and 20-30 minutes walk from the city center. The only negative aspect of the trip is that the check-in is at 14:00. Maybe a change of policy for noon (i.e. 12:00) would be better in the future. Apart from that really enjoyed it, very good hotel, will definitely stay there on my next trip to Amsterdam.

I always stay in Oude Pijp when I stay in Amsterdam, but usually at Aribnb places. I booked Ibis Styles this time as traveling with work meant I had to keep accomm costs down. Positives: area & transport, cost per night, breakfast included, excellent wi-fi, felt safe, lovely views from 4th floor, comfortable bed and good-sized room. Oh, and BBC1 on the tele. Negatives: lift was broken, and even though I am highly fit, trying to manage my luggage up four flights of a Dutch stair case (very narrow, steep, spiralled & dizziness-inducing) was quite a challenge. I asked for a quiet room on several occasions - when making the booking and before when I checked in (as I'm not a good sleeper, so having as few distractions as possible at night is crucial). The first night was fine but on the second night, reception decided it was a good idea to book in a drunken group of young men on my floor, so from about 3am till 8am all I heard was doors slamming, laughing and shouting. So much for the quiet room! Then, on the last day I had requested a late check out (midday instead of 11am) as I had a work conference call. I was rudely interrupted not once but twice by the cleaning staff banging on the door and demanding that I check out. Even after I told them that I had requested the late check out the day before with reception, they seemingly didn't believe me and told me they knew nothing about it - as though this was my fault/problem. To note - the rest of the guests were like me - either business people of families who all seemed very civil. I really don't know why a drunken group of young men would decide to stay in this hotel or in this area, which is not really near the main tourist/backpacker areas. The downside of a cheap hotel I guess!
