Highly recommend this hotel due to location, easy access to transportation that takes you throughout the city and very helpful and great staff. Great harbor view if you are able to book a higher floor and a 5 minute walk to the macau ferry terminal.
Everything efficiently delivered by the Ibis team. In the days of expensively located and designed luxury hotels, this Ibis offers everything you need for a central HK location. And it is excellent value. One small complaint. The buffet breakfast which closes at 1000, was already in close down mode at 0930. Limited choices which were not refilled and what there was, was tepid at best in the hot food dept. Only a couple of yogurts left. This needs addressing. But plenty of other places to get breakfast nearby. Lesson, get to breakfast early. Otherwise excellent stay. Hotel staff always welcoming and very helpful with general HK advice.
Good location, efficient staff, clean enough room are the good characters of this ibis. This time, I tried their breakfast for the first time. It was disappointing for all four days of my stay. Hong Kong is famous for its culinary excellence, but ibis breakfast tarnished this image.
Like the hotel as its location is good, surrounding has shops and restaurants. Ding ding bus is just right in front of hotel . MTR is bit far we need to walk 5-8 mins. The hotel is clean and comfortable. we enjoyed our stay here. Pls note airport bus A11 can reach this hotel, but we missed the alighting stop and end up alighted at Central MTR. Is better you ask A11 driver for bus stop.
Stayed at Ibis Sheung Wan and Central for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Room was spacious (notwithstanding an extra bed) with ample room for 3 adults to walk around. Room was clean and tidy, and staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was good and staff were quick to refill dishes when they ran out. Good service all around. Would definitely stay there again if I were to visit Hong Kong again.
We recently stayed for 6 nights and had a fabulous stay here. We chose it based on its good value and the fact it had slightly larger rooms than others in a similar price bracket and we are very glad we did - just about had room for our cases etc. We were also pleasantly surprised to have a great view of the peak! The staff were very helpful and it was only a few minutes walk to the tram stops and MTR. Would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel in a central location with up to date modern and clean rooms provided a great 3 day Hong Kong venue. Thanks to the professional staff I enjoyed a memorable experience in this top of the world city of sky scrapers, bustling streets and bountiful commerce.
The hotel is located quite near the Sheung Wan MTR station (exit C). There is also the station stop for tram very close to the hotel, just 1-minute walk. There is free shuttle bus service between Hong Kong station and this hotel. There are many restaurants and convenient stores located near the hotel. Starbucks is on the first floor of hotel building. The price of accommodation is reasonable and not expensive. Breakfast has various types of menu to choose. Overall is very good.
Great location. Close to subway station and many restaurants. Buffet breakfast is very good. Bed and pillow are very uncomfortable. Room is small. Service is very good. If anything is not wirking in your room it will be fixed within 15 minutes. Overall value fits a 3-Star hotel.
This hotel was poorly located, the rooms were painfully small, the service was poor all around (including the front desk and breakfast room), and the staff was not helpful at all. For example, when we needed to obtain a taxi that was large enough for four adults and our bags, it was near impossible to get the front desk people to understand what we needed and then find a suitable taxi. I understand that my inability to speak languages other than English was a limitation, but the staff made no effort to help. I would avoid this place at all cost.
Clean, comfortable room in a hotel with a location handy for our needs. Unusual hotel layout in that Reception was on the 5th Floor. Excellent buffet breakfast. Staff at Reception were very polite, ready to assist. Would definitely use again.
Firstly we were welcomed by a really friendly staff at the check in counter, I couldn’t remember her name (a girl with specs and hair tied up) but she was really helpful and attentive to my requests with smiley faces. There is Starbucks at ground floor and we didn’t have time to grab a cup of coffee there but we did tried on the delicious dim sum nearby at Lin Heung Kui restaurant. As for the room, I requested for cleaning after the first night and the floor was still in unsatisfactory condition after. Requested for baby cot, concierge service and all were fulfilled. Overall we had a reasonable budget stay especially at this district in Hong Kong.
Located centrally with Skybus shuttle stopover across the road. Rooms reasonable size and very clean. STAFF very attentive. Breakfast OK. Access to ferries and shopping malls very easy. Have decided to stay again.
The drainage in the shower room is not good. The water (during and after showers) on the floor flows very slowly. There are still some water on the floor of shower room in the next morning. I SUGGEST the drainage of the shower room needs to be improve, at least in the room we stayed.
This is the first time I stayed in Sheung Wan area. I’ve stayed in Novotel Nathan and Park Lane Pullman. This is the worst location of the three in terms of accessibility, hotel facilities, nearby outlets and access to mtr station. Hotel only provide one toothbrush and one pc of soap even though it’s for 2 person. Will not stay in this hotel anymore.
This hotel provides a very good value for money accommodation right in the Sheung Wan and Central location of HK. Right at your door step is a Starbucks if you are not very adventurous, but if you are, take a step out of the hotel and within 20m in any direction are Tim Sum houses, local food and Chinese food stuffs. The view from the higher floors of the hotel is magnificent, you can view the city sky scrapers and the Peak. Come and stay here and you’ll be able to spend your vacation money elsewhere.
I have been to HK many times and this is first time that stay in Sheung Wan with ibis. It's located on the right place, convenient to transport via Tram and Bus to anywhere in HK island and also Macau and Kowloon. Room I did stay with nice panoramic harbour view. Recommend this place
Overall good choice. Location close to some of the sights on Hong Kong Island. Clean room and comfortable bed. Good WiFi connection. Nice city view. Reasonable choice of breakfast items. Tram stop in front of the hotel. Metro within 10 minutes walking distance.
Very convenient location, walking distance to the Macau Ferry Terminal. Value for money and clean. Excellent staff and very helpful. Very good breakfast with choice of food and drinks. You can ask for adaptor plug at the reception.
Great value, small rooms (but that's normal in HK). Good bed and in my case also a nice view over the harbor. Bathroom is efficient. The elevators are a bit of an issue - some go to the 5th floor (and up) only, some to the 1st up to the fifth floor. And some go to all floors, so you have to do some lift hopping if you're unlucky.
