Very convenient location, walking distance to the Macau Ferry Terminal. Value for money and clean. Excellent staff and very helpful. Very good breakfast with choice of food and drinks. You can ask for adaptor plug at the reception.
Great value, small rooms (but that's normal in HK). Good bed and in my case also a nice view over the harbor. Bathroom is efficient. The elevators are a bit of an issue - some go to the 5th floor (and up) only, some to the 1st up to the fifth floor. And some go to all floors, so you have to do some lift hopping if you're unlucky.
Our stay was quite short but it was an enjoyable experience. Check-in was easy because was an option to check-in online (similar with airlines), upon arrival, they just had us sign the receipt and gave our keys (didn't take too much of our time at all. Hotel breakfast has a good variety of selection, taste good, service was simple and direct. They cleaned our room and provided clean towels everyday. Room AC was just right and was not too cold. Good water pressure and hot water (both sink and shower). The hotel was located near a tram station and that made our commute extra easy! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we'll definitely book again with Ibis next time.
Technology helps speedy mobile check in and out with a perfect location so everything reachable in minutes via underground subway the design of the room is ergonomic just making so convenient and handy.
Very central, the rooms are bigger than the ones of Ibis north point. The staff was very helpful. Good breakfast. The restaurant is not of a 5 stars, but the foods are pretty good. A part of a beer, the welcome drinks are very poor compared to other ibis where they offer a glass of wine!
Ibis Sheun Wang could be better if it trained its employees in customer service. Employees are polite, but act too mechanically without putting themselves in the customer´s shoes. I think they are good people, but they just don't understand it.
Was Travelling on business to Shenzhen and stopped over in Hong Kong The hotel is clean and staff are friendly . Great location as its close to Macau ferry port , which is a 10 minute walk and that is convenient if travelling towards Macau or Shenzhen.
the hotel location is very convenient for airport express buses & trams, a 10 minute walk to mrt but if you want local shops or food stall serving noodle , barbeque pork or roast duck, there is a street at the back of the hotel with lots of those food stall with some having michelin guide recommendation.
Only thing I would suggest is to add an anti-slip rubber matting and handle bars in the showers to provide safety to the elderly. But overall I’d rate the hotel 5 out of 5 with their quick and accommodating staffs, clean rooms, location close to convenient stores and transportation (Tram station & subway). The airport express free shuttle bus even stops beside the hotel.
Hotel is in a good location, and price is reasonable for Sheung Wan area. The view if you got the harbor views, are great too. Though I was not offered any privileges during check in as a platinum member. Hotel is in an area with plenty to eat, 5-7 min walk to the MTR and most visitor spots on the island
Great hotel and great location. Very helpful doorman. Easy to get around and food in the vicinity was easy to get too. Airport Express shuttle dropped us off at the door and also picked us up to get us to the Airport Express Centre where check-in was a breeze.
We had a great stay at the Ibis. The location is excellent, with really interesting surrounding streets and easy walking distance to other tourist areas and the MTR. Very easy to get to and from the airport. And the staff are really friendly and helpful.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Ibis HK Central & Sheung Wan Hotel. Great location and very handy to rest of HK. Has interesting shops and a very 'local' feel. Nice and quiet, not too bustling.
Thank you to all the lovely staff for a great stay in HK. Room clean, great location near central, helpful, friendly and professional staff. Near shops and restaurants. Coffee shop downstairs. I recommend this hotel. Hong Kong is expensive - so Ibis was a better deal than most.
We have stayed here 7 times and are always satisfied. We always pay for the larger premium room. We especially like the wood flooring and high ceilings. However we are noticing some aging in the room. There was a large iron burn on the bench seat with foam stuffing protruding which was unlpeanset. It should have been replaced before new guests arrived.
good choice for an affordable room in HongKong with gorgeous view! rom are small, bed a bit hard, shower small but all fine and clean. breakfast is simple, nothing very good but ok for ibis. bad coffee ! staff are very very professional and helpful !
Like all my previous stay in this hotel, service and quality has not dropped. Breakfast selection was varied and would have met every travellers' diet requirements. Tram stop is right outside the hotel which makes it easy to take a short ride to Sheung Wan MTR station if 10 minutes of walking is too much for the individual.
Highly recommend this hotel. My Husband thought his wallet was stolen while touring hong Kong but was pleased to find the wallet on the dresser at the end of the day. The attitude of housekeepers here are highly commended for their honesty and professionalism. I am really thankful we stayed here instead of somewhere else. The mattress is awesome and we had a good sleep every night during our stay. Location is a bit far from mtr but the tram station is very near. We took tram to the mtr station during our stay. Not to forget there is a famous and delicious dim sum place called lin heung right next to the hotel! Also very very near to jetty to macau.
We visited from 19 September to 24 September. It's our second trip to HK, and our first time away from our kids in 8 years. We decided to make the trip to HK and put up at Ibis Central Sheung Wan as it is centrally located. Check in was quick and breezy at level 5, and Ceci (who greeted us) even knew who we were. I had mentioned to the team prior I was visiting for the first time with my wife and she greeted us and even informed my wife we have the harbour views (I had paid for it; wasn't an upgrade). The room is spacious for 2 people, with ample space for luggages. Bathroom is small but adequately fitted out. It's clean throughout. Best part of all, the room was cheekily decorated with hearts and balloons, and there was a nice bottle of red. Thank you Ceci and team. Breakfast buffet is at best, average but that is to be expected for a 3 star hotel that houses a few hundred rooms. This hotel works if you just want to check in and return to drop your luggage and shower, before heading out again. If I do have a few thoughts how the hotel can be improved, perhaps we should have an ironing board and bottle opener in every room? For four days in a row we had to call room service for the ironing board and go to the reception for a bottle opener.
Well priced lower midrange hotel in good location.Handy to transport.Pleasant helpful young staff.Very good breakfast.Tidy comfortable room with basic necessities.Well priced food and beverage menu.Pleasant and relaxing dining/social area.
