As always, a nice comfortable stay at an Ibis. They are dependable and always handy to get to (and close to the city centre as well). We were so happy to see an initiative that offered a free drink if you gave up your housekeeping for the day. What a FANTASTIC idea!! Having said that...we stayed 6 nights and were told it only counted for one night...which seems a bit silly, as if you're giving up your housekeeping each day, you should be rewarded each day for that (and that is what the door hanger actually stipulated although the colleague at the bar said 'no' it was only once per stay). We were also only offered one free drink between us for giving up the housekeeping (even though there were 2 of us and we paid for 2 people in the room, so that also didn't seem to be a great offer, especially seeing as, in monetary terms a bottle of beer or a wine doesn't cost that much). So it was a bit of a case of overpromising and under-delivering. If you're going to offer an initiative it needs to be well-thought out and clear, otherwise it leaves a bad taste in the mouth (especially for a Silver Accor member). I really love this initiative and I wish it was offered at more hotels. It saves the company money and the housekeepers time and its good for the environment...but customers need to be properly rewarded each day or they wont do it (we gave up our housekeeping each day anyway, as we like our privacy, but it would have been nice to be rewarded each day as the door hanger offered).
I needed a bed for the night and found that Ibis fitted the bill. Very small room, but that wasn't significant for a very short stay. I found the staff professional and helpful and the hotel is central.
The room was too hot and there was no air conditioning, the traffic outside really disturbs you if you keep the window open so no sleep at all all night :( Location very good, near the centre of town and your employees are very polite. rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment
We have stayed before, so we know the hotel well, very friendly, central on the main route through town, sounds noisy with traffic but we slept very well with sound proof windows closed, never heard asound, infact thought we had slept in next morning as so quiet! easy check in, close to all centre attractions, very, very good value for money, very good rooms and very, very good breakfast, would easily stay again
good for business travel. bathroom too small. Location very good, near the centre of town and your employees are very polite. i think good for the required rates. Surely I'll utilize in future IBIS HOTEL again.
The Ibis is in a really good position. Walking distance to the city and plenty of restaurants. The rooms are rather small but have the necessary facilities. Found that the normal WiFi was not brilliant for watching UK TV, on either a laptop or a tablet. Chose to try the superior system at Euro6 per day, free for the first night as a trial, and found it was pretty good. Discovered on leaving that the car parking, which has always been free in previous visits, is now Euro6 per day. Overall despite the extras it was well worth it!!
we have stayed here several times before the hotel is in a perfect location in very close to the centre of Paderborn just minutes away from the restaurants and the city centre the hotel is always well kept the rooms spotless the staff are always friendly and happy to help the rooms are a little on the small side as is the shower but for the price I cant fault it we don't live in the rooms we are out most of the time the hotel also has 24/7 room service to order sandwiches pizzas etc we would certainly stay again
nice simple but cosy room, excellent bed, nice staff, very good small restaurant around the corner. Breakfast was good, much choice, but if a small eater a bit pricy ( € 11,00) TIP: parkhouse opposite hotel is cheaper than hotel carpark. ( € 2.50 instead of € 6,00)
Hotel was ok. The bed was poor and the pillows very bad. On this aspect one of the worst Ibis I have stayed in. Room was not cleaned on first day. Other aspects ok. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location good.
We stayed in the Ibis for 3 nights. The room was lovely and clean, plenty of towels and there was shower gel provided, plus a decent hairdryer. The only fault was, that the shower had black mould around the edge, the silicon needs replacing.. The staff were helpful and friendly. We will return when we go to Paderborn again. The location is perfect.
I had a big problem in my reservation. I talked with a recepcionist some weeks again about my reservation changes. I asked that there was a new guest and she told me that only more 5 euros are enough to keep in the same room. Unfortunately, does not work. It was necessary to rent a new room. The recepcionist at night was not good. Funny....terrible!!
Just staying over night I had some urgent business matter to do and needed support for printing and scanning a document. The ladies in the reception helped me in a very friendly and helpful way. Thank you for this excellent service. The hotel standard is typical IBIS, clean, simple, good bed and good standard breakfast. The hotel is closed to city center and although it was already evening I could make a small sight seeing to the nice center of Paderborn.
the location is very good, just close to downtown, very easy to reach the city centre. but just not so quite, since the room is just next to the main road. breakfast is good, staff is very kind and helpful.
This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Ibis. Lovely comfy beds, clean and plenty of fluffy towels. The only down side this time, was that the hotel doesn't have air con, and with the temperature 34 degs outside, the heat in the room was unbearable. We went to the supermarket the next morning and purchased a fan. Of course we had to leave it when we left, but it was the best €13 we spent. Also this time we had to pay €6 per day to park the car, which has always been free before, I totally don't agree with this!!! Having said that, we are already booked for a long weekend in November.
Hotel was ok; clean and looked after. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms compact. No tea or coffee in the rooms. They don't manage the car park well so if you pay for a space it doesn't guarantee you get one. Check in and out was quick and easy. Professional staff.
this hotel is perfectly located in Paderborn just across the road from all the main restaurants and only minutes from the city centre as with most german hotels its spotlessly clean the rooms are a little small as is the shower but perfectly suitable we only used the hotel to sleep in the staff are superb and will help in any way we have stayed here before and will do again
Good clean tidy hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. If you are only in the area for a few days as we were then it makes a good base. Would certainly stay again. Be nice to have a kettle etc in the room to make a drink but I suppose that's just an Englishman talking! Saying that you can get teas coffees and alcohol downstairs to take up to your room. Certainly would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Paederborn.
Always enjoy staying at an Ibis hotel and this one was great (staff, location, breakfast) BUT with window open the traffic noise was horrendous (very hot and no air conditioning!) That's the only thing
Lovely location close to some great restaurants in Paderborn, but a typical 2 star hotel I suppose. Small room, and the so called bathroom was a tiny dark little box. No tea or coffee making facilities, no air conditioning, noisy lorries early in the morning. Clean and tidy, though, and they did give me an extra duvet, as requested. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and there was a small bedside table each side. Breakfast OK, but overpriced. The only hot cooked breakfast food was boiled egg or scrambled egg (which was like rubber) - no bacon, sausage, tomato or anything. With hindsight we should have gone out into the town - it's only across the road, and there were plenty of better places to eat. Tolerable for 2 nights, but we would not have wanted to be there any longer. The one bonus was the free wifi. Does not begin to compare with a UK Premier Inn though.
The hotel was relatively easy to find (with Sat Nav). The hotel was located in an ok part of the city but had two main roads running past. Parking was not available on the day we stayed and so had to park around the corner in a multi Storey that was very secure and very cheap for an overnight stay (€1.50). Check in was easy as always and the staff were extremely helpful to us Brits. We didn't check out the food or drink here as by the time we arrived we just didn't feel like it. Room was your standard Ibis affair and we found it clean and comfortable, however no air con here and it was so hot. We tried opening the window but the noise from the road was unbearable and when the idiotic boy racers turned up later - well if we could of moved, we would have. We had a very disturbed nights sleep here. I get the impression its popular with young people who wherever you go don't care about anyone but themselves when they come crashing through the corridors in the early hours. We definitely wouldn't stay here again unless the hotel was seriously upgraded. Shame really
