After our stay at the same hotel in February that was great, We had no hesitation to book there again. However we were very disappointed to find the standards had dropped.Some of the front of house staff give the impression they are doing a job they are too good for. The best and most helpful were the breakfast team, excellent as was the food. The welcome drinks we both enjoyed at Carlisle U/K.,and thought was a nice gesture. When we went to the bar in Paris we were told it was not a voucher for two drinks. only one for the card holder! Also there was no choice for a beer, just one I guess the cheapest !! with that voucher. If this is correct I would advise you not to bother with the drink as it is insulting to a couple. I had paid in full for my stay at the time of booking, therefore the invoice was closed, I then registered my credit card at reception to enable we to charge breakfasts or bar bills etc. this worked with the bar but not with breakfasts. I realised this was as good as it was going to get and decided to give up. The rooms and public areas were in need of a good clean, edges and corners appear to get missed whilst the centre of the rooms and the obvious areas were acceptable. This was very disappointing to us as we are making two visits a year to Montmartre, and found this hotel to be ideally situated for our purpose,(also had received excellent service earlier this year) are now seriously thinking of looking for somewhere else.
